Kirelenko- "I would have to say he's putting himself on thin ice""

"I'd almost like to call his bluff, say 'OK, automatically we're going to leave you out there. You're going to take 20 shots a night five games in a row. And then we'll see,' " Miller told radio station 1280 AM.
If you're wondering whats wrong with AK47, he's been whining and complaining because he isnt being asked to be more involved in the offense as he was in the past.

The Jazz basically as an improved team asked him not to shoot as much and so his play has dipped because of his attitude against it.

    Thoughts?

He just needs to get laid.

I wonder if his wife can hook him up.

This Utah team is the best he's ever played for. He ought to just keep his mouth shut and play.

I agree. Kirilenko can still be dangerous. I mean he's getting paid and he's playing for one of the best teams in the league and he's complaining? He's done a fine job so far although his numbers have been down.

It's the fact that everyone wants the light on them. It's hard to find a humble player that just fits into a role on a team and focuses on others instead of himself. I hope he doesn't ruin it for the freaking Jazz. Just sit back and do what you're expected to do. Is that too much too ask?? Everyone wants to make sure their "legacy" is all good when they leave, asking for all these ridiculous amount of shots.

I think hes just mad hes no longer the main guy in Utah, hes now the third option behind Boozer and Deron Williams.

It's safe to say he's the 4th option behind Okur as well.

Marion never gets plays for himself but still manges to get close to 20 points and more than 10 boards a game. Thats because he hussels; maybe AK can take a lesson from that and make his own shots happen.

Okur completely slipped my mind for some reason but yeah definitely.

I really dont like the idea of telling a player to not shoot as much. If the Jazz were to tell him he's not going to be the go-to guy, fine, but telling a player to not be as agressive is very hard to learn how to play IMO.

To be fair, AK47 has much more ball-handling and passing ability than Marion. AK47 can create for himself, his team just doesnt need him to. Marion cant create for himself, and luckily his team isnt in need of that.

If your team is asking you to sacrifice some shots for the sake of winning, I see no reason to whine.

Sorry but that's completely selfish. They didn't say dont be aggressive, he's doing that on his own.

No one said its not being selfish, maybe it is.

But its clearly not good for any player in the league to be told to not look for his shot more. With the way Boozer and Williams were playing, AK47 was going to get less shots regardless, but to go out of your way to actual tell AK that he needs to take less shots it beyond me. Shots shoudl come within the flow of the offense and to even think about telling a player to think about whether he should be shooting or not is bad for that player and eventually that team.
