Your statement is an even bigger LOL... Gasol is a much more capable player than Ben Gordon. Gasol is a team anchor. Gordon is far from that.

Gordon is instant offense he can provide points in bunches something that any team could use he may not be equal value to Gasol but Gasol isnt Deng/Gordon good either. Coming off a injury and the fact he has never had any success in the playoffs would prove the point that he isnt team foundation material either

Well, he's no Tim Duncan, but give the man some team support. Memphis actually had a fantastic season last year, with not that great a team.

Has he really had any help? Look at those teams he has been on.

James Posey? Mike Miller? Shane Battier? Role players.

Remember, he is only 26. When he was drafted, in 2002, he lead them to their highest win total in franchise history. Then in 2004, 2005, and 2006 combined, they totaled 144 wins, and three playoff appearances. They did get swept in each one, but they lost to very good teams. The 2004 Spurs, the 2005 Suns, and the 2006 Mavericks.

I think if he were to go to the Bulls, and they wouldn't give up too much, they could be an eastern conference power.

I could see trading him for Gordon and Sweetny or Brown and maybe a pick. But Lou Deng is playing lights out right now, you could even say he is playing better than anyone on the bulls at this current time.

Both Gordon and Deng have been improving. I think a deal including Gordon, Brown, and maybe a 1st round pick, or maybe Thabo, would be enough to get it done.

I agree, Gordon and Deng are a little too much. Deng is only 21 and he's averaging 17.9 pts, and 6.6 reb. If they toss in a 1st round pick and a role player like PJ Brown along with Gordon like you said, it should be enough to get it done.

Deng has too much upside to toy with. The Bulls hopefully (for their sake) have learned not to make that same mistake that they made back when they dealt Elton Brand to the LA Clippers.

Bulls should deal that knicks pick while it still has some value. As good as Deng has been, Getting Gasol allows Noc to move back to the 3. Rather then losing Gordon and being stuck with a Duhon, Hinrich backcourt.

If the bulls really consider Tyrus Thomas a legit talent down the road, I would deal Deng and PJ Brown throw in the pick and add Gasol.

Also, you have Deng, Gordan, and Noc with expiring contracts in the next 2 years. Each of them is looking at 8-12 million a year.

If I were the Bulls I would probably trade Nocioni and Gordon and try to see if I could pry away Gasol and Mike Miller. I think Miller and Gasol would instantly put the Bulls over the top.

Yet with Pau Gasol and Ben Wallace locked up for the next 4 years or so, Tyrus gets no chance to develop and he's going to leave via Free Agency. Plus, the "he's going to be a stud" is far from a fact. Sure he has potential, but if I can have Gasol or Thomas, there's no doubt who I choose.

Tyrus Thomas, PJ Brown, & Ben Gordan makes alot of sense for both teams, IF Memphis intends to trade Gasol.

That doesnt come close to making salaries work, though it might work with PJ Brown's expiring contract throw in. Though, I doubt the Grizzlies do it without Tyrus Thomas. Gasol is a legit inside presense who scores with his back to the basket, with a bit of ability to face up. He's an fantastic passer out of the double team and solid shot blocker. And he's not even in his prime. Memhpis shouldnt give him up for one, but if they do, they will get a better package than that.

A 1st round pick (assuming its NOT the New York pick) isnt valuable. Chicago would dominate with Gasol, Hinirch, Deng, Big Ben and Nocioni.

It should be a no brainer for the Bulls if they have the ability to pull the above trade off. Pau Gasol could have a huge impact on the Bulls, nearly as much as Kevin Garnett would.
