Who is 'really' coaching the Pistons?

Did anyone see the game just now v The Wizards?

Pistons down one...14 seconds left...at home...wiz in foul trouble...

And the Pistons come out and run a three point play for Sheed.

He missed. Wiz get an easy rebound. Game over.

    Dumb, dumb play.

Any and every coach would have driven into the paint on that play...you're only down 1, you are already in the bonus...any touch and you're at the line...

A 3 point play just doesn't make sense.

I can't believe Flip would have called that play. If he did, he really must be doubted as a coach...

Did Sheed call the play for himself?

Not only that, but Sheed took the final shot down by 3 as well.

It's not like Chauncey Billups or Rip Hamilton were on the floor or anything...

This is Flop's fault. He's either calling the plays for Sheed, or Sheed is totally blowing him off and jacking it up.

This is a championship caliber team, and because Flop and Sheed can't get along (and Flop running the starters into the ground again), they will get tripped up in the playoffs again.

Sheed grinds my teeth every single night. Did anyone else notice how many times he let Jamison get loose on the perimeter for an uncontested three? Ugh.

    Very frustrating.

BTW, for those of you asking "Well who is out there for the Pistons to replace Flip with?".....in my opinion the guy better suited for the job also coaches at the Palace.

          You guys call him Flop?

          Now that is funny.

I 've never liked his rotations and you could tell Chauncey wasn't even expecting to look at getting a shot, but it looks like that last play was just fumbled when Tay almost lost control.

Sheed just heaved it, maybe on instinct, but Billups was on the side wide open. His body language looked exactly like either he wasn't even called to be involved in the play, or he just knew he wasn't going to get the ball.

I think he meant Bill Laimbeer who coaches the Shock at the Palace.

I was so close to throwing my remote after the Jamison three at the end. Your up 2 stay on Jamison!! Rasheed for some reason went to the inside then half *** ran out on Jamison wide open. You'd think that after putting up 30+ he'd get more attention. Billups was on fire I wish some how he would of taken the shot, or even drove and tryed to get contact. I would even rather see a Webber hook than Rasheed missing yet another 3 in the clutch.

I agree Flip has to go. He makes no adjustments at all. His roations and hiz zone sometimes kills us. This team is to good to throw away 10+ point leads on a weekly basis.

Not since the Bulls took their heart. Early exit for that team this year my friend, plus a mentally incapacitated coach who doesn't know how to utilize his team. Best believe that whoever they play, they'll have a hard time. I wish they would get first place and have to play the Heat. LOL!! Wade will ABUSE!!

Based on Ben Wallace's play this year, the Pistons don't really miss him.

LOL!! He's been playing pretty decent in the Chi. He's been scoring. Lacking on defense because he doesn't have the help, but he's been nice with his rebounds. Don't know his numbers but I'm sure he's not far from them. You compare the stats?

I've seen enough Bulls games this year to know that, as the case has been the past couple years, he's declining. He gets by more on reputation now than actual production. You better hope the Bulls win a title in the next year or two, or they're going to regret throwing all that money at him.

                        And since you mentioned stats:

-He's averaging his lowest points per game since 2000-2001.

-He's averaging his lowest rebounds per game since 1999-2000 (his last year with Orlando).

-His blocks per game have decreased for the fifth straight season.

He's even shooting worse at the FT line. He's not the same player he once was, and he is not worth the big contract the Bulls gave him.

BTW, his decrease in production isn't just because of his age. His right wrist will never be 100% again.
