I really feel that alot of players try to push the limit like little children just to see what they can get away with and to gather attention for themselves, cause as we all know most pro athletes have huge egos that need to be fed. And yeah I did imply that Iverson and quite honestly alot of NBA players dressed like a common crack dealer before the dress code was put in, prove me wrong.
The point is...if the armband is no BIG deal, than why ban it? It is like your boss saying, "You can't wear black suits." you ask why and he says "No big deal...you just can't."

Dressed like the common crack dealer? Guess what, dressed like a lot of other people in society and I am sure Iverson didn't put on a throwback to say "Yeah, I look like a crack dealer today!" there are reasons for everything.

Talking about looking professional, some guys dressed 'Appropriate' before the dress code. I hate the dress code because it almost applies to everything and everywhere they go which includes flight, before the game, if they are watching the game, on videogames... let these people dress the way they want. Hell Rodman would have a short rainbow afro and would wear a dress, people talked about him so what. He chose what to wear, it just seems to me like the NBA are telling there players what to wear.

That's why a player like Nash is celebrated not cause he's white like I have heard some people say, but because he's all that's right with the game of basketball, unlike say an Iverson (and no I'm not saying Iverson because of the tats or the rows) who is selfish, and a me first player. The whole practice situation is a perfect example, HE may think he doesn't need to practice cause he's so good but even if he is the legend that he thinks he is, then why not practice to make your TEAM better? Oh that's right it's cause he doesn't care. You'll never hear Nash say PRACTICE! PRACTICE?! We're talking about practice. There are far too many boneheads in the NBA that quite frankly shouldn't even be playing. And if their boss wants them to wear certain clothes or to not wear certain clothes they should be more than happy to oblige, because realistically what would a majority of those guys be doing if they couldn't play a professional sport?
What exactly are you rambling about and why do you choose to focus on Allen Iverson? And if a lot of the players weren't playing basketball then the league would not be as popular and rich as it is today.

I am going agaisnt your views that taking off the armband makes you look more professional on the court...
And the philidelphia fans love AI anyway so what he was saying has nothing to do with the topic.

Quick6, So since i am black and i wear jerseys sometimes that makes me a crack dealer. You need to watch the wire or somthing, cuz there are drug dealers that wear suites son! Your stereotyping amazes me.

LOL way once again to take my words and twist them, I never said it was because he wore jerseys, more when he wears the clothes 4x too big for him, the unlaced timberlands, pants sagging to his knees, thats what I was saying David Stern wanted to stop. Not because he wears a throwback every now and then, read my posts you'll see I NEVER mentioned throwbacks. And LOL at watching a tv to get the "real" facts. I know there are plenty of drug dealers wearing suits, but not the ones selling crack ON THE STREET corner. Read through all the posts before you ASSUME you know what we're talking about, because when you assume, you make an *** out of U and ME.

Please go ahead and tell me what I've been wrong about. You keep focusing on one guy who dressed a certain way(which had nothing to do with what we were talking about) then you try to label him as trying to dress like a drug dealer because of what he's wearing. You just went off on some tangent that had absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand and have accused people of bringing things into the discussion(race) which they didn't.

Maybe it's just me, but I highly highly doubt that David Stern has gone to the streets and seen a guy wearing the cloths you've decribed selling crack. He thinks he's too good to be in a place where they sell crack on the streets. Trust me

I don't get the whole thing anymore.

The topic changed into crackdealers from the original "What is the ******* point of banning a simple pad over the elbow!?!?"

You tell me, if you like the idea anyonw, I challenge you, what is the point. If there was a point to it than I would agree.

One guy(Quick6) changed the topic completely. I don't know why or if he just has problems reading but he totally distorted the original topic.
