The Bulls also NEVER faced a dominant C like Dream.

They never got Dream or The Admiral in the finals. *The Bulls worst match up was the C*.

Look at the records back then and Houston won most games and matched up very, very well with Chicago.

Regular season. Playoffs is a whole 'nother beast. And MJ was being nice. You KNOW damn well he would have treated Houston like he did every other team in the playoffs in the 90's.

Meaning the Bulls would have beat the Rockets like everyone else they faced when MJ was in his prime.

Speaking of good/great centers, the Bulls played against Ewing, Mourning, Motombo, Kemp (played a lot of center then), Daugherty, etc.

Was it MJ's fault Dream's and Robinson's teams didn't make it to the Finals against him (losing to far inferior teams than the Bulls, I might add) the 6--SIX--times the Bulls went to the Finals?

Oh, a little footnote for those who point out the Bulls record against the Rockets and Spurs--during MJ's second run with the Bulls ('96, '97, 98), the Bulls were 11-1 against the Rockets and Spurs combined.

      SECOND run...

      NOT the Rockets championship teams...

Those teams had Dream...Sam Cassell...Robert Horry...Clyde Drexler on the second title team...Kenny Smith...Vernon Maxwell...Otis Thorpe...

They were deep and talented and matched up well with the Bulls.

      Mad Max on MJ...

Dream was insanely good those two seasons. IMO he was THE best center ever to play in the NBA during those two seasons. (i.e. not the greatest ever as he didn't play at that level all career).

No way they wouldn't have got at least one ring...

And people...you included...are forgetting that MJ played on the Bulls team that Orlando beat easily...

The same Orlando team that Dream and Glyde swept.

MJ was putting up 50 point games during that season...so it's not like he was out of his groove by play off time. The MAIN factor he and the Bulls lost was they had no rebounder...

They went and got Rodman as a result...

That team couldn't have beaten Houston. Not even close. Which is why Orlando beat them and the Rocks swept the Magic.

Just adding that the Bulls often only just got past the Pacers a few times...

A Pacer team with Reggie Miller and Rik Smitts took them to GAME SEVEN.

Reggie and Smitts were good...Dream and Glyde were great.

That Pacers team had no depth...

The Rockets had Sammy Cassell...Big Shot Bob...and a lot more.

No way the Bulls beat the 95 Rocks team. No way

Of course, all we can do is speculate. I'm pretty confident though that Bulls team would have a fair chance at winning the title.

Seriously, was there ever a better time in the NBA than watching Jordan on NBC? The theme music, Marv, Jordan dominating,etc...... I miss those days.

Those were the greatest days of the NBA... nothing these days can compete with that.

Just watching Cleveland/Detroit this weekend... there was absolutely no atmosphere... the players seemed non-chalant out there... it was pathetic. The way the game has lost it's "mojo", lol, is horrible.

There are some good games, but this season has been pretty pathetic.

I've also not seen so many fans whine so much in my life.

This is how the NBA has been since MJ left, and definitely after the Lakers' run. Seems like every nationally televised game is like the Cleveland/Detroit one. The best term I can come up with is lacking. The game is definitely lacking right now.

If anyone watched the Lakers/Wizards game on Saturday, that has a potential to be a nice little team rivalry over the years. You have the Byrant/Arenas, and the Kwame/Caron thing. The fans seemed extra riled up as Byrant and Arenas had an epic duel. Great atmosphere, reminded me a lot of the 90's.

That's not a rivalry. If that is the closest thing to one then then NBA is in trouble.

As long as these players are getting paid this much guaranteed money.. I don't ever see the state of the NBA improving.

And the NBA has been in trouble. When I was growing up, even if my team was already eliminated from the playoffs I would still be captivated. Now if the Lakers aren't around there's slim chance that I'll plop down and watch the other teams. The game's just lacking.

The day Jordan retired from the Bulls is the day I lost interest in the NBA. I will catch parts of a game here and there but I can't remember the last time I watched an entire game. I try to force myself at times because growing up Basketball was my favorite sport. It has since dropped to a distant #3.

From a gaming perspective, just imagine NBA 2K7 back in the Jordan, Magic, & Bird days. As great as the game is, I can't even get into that because there is absolutely zero connection with today's players.

Hey 2K sports, I say if All Pro Football is a success, get rid of all licenses and make All Pro Basketball and Baseball too.
