I've met Laimbeer on more then a few occasions and I also have to disagree with Mc. Bill was always real cool. At appearences and just out socially. Real cordial. Don't forget, he's a business man. He's always got that business man thing going.

And he curses alot. I was talking with him, Mark Aguire, Isiah, And Ron Rothstein and boy... The man can curse. Then again they all did. Hell those guys are family. And just being able to chat with them was great.

But I will say this. Back when the Pistons were winning championships. When the Bad Boys were doing there thing... You do not mess with Laimbeer. You do not ask for anything. Because he could scare the [censored] out of you.

One of the funniest things ive ever heard. Back in 1989 the Pistons and Bulls were playing a game. And this singer (Cant remeber her name... Some pop singer) Goes up to Laimbeer after the game. "I sang the National Anthem for you" And Laimbeer says "I dont give a damn if you sang a whole concert!"

Nah Bill is a prick!

I go to nearly every Pistons game he never would say Hi, and I don't scream I would say it nicely, he signs now and then but big deal. He is a dickhead! When I was like 12 I walked by him and told him I thought he was great and he wouldn't turn around, he can eat a dick!

To add on to that, he had his lil bussiness and it went down under and he didnt give a 90 day notice to workers and left 4 guys who called the news jobless with families and no money to support them, he also said he didn't have money to give to guys and help them out, which is utter BS!

Laimbeer blows.....

I find it funny when fans tell me that a person (Sports star ect) is an @sshole because they didnt say hello, or didnt acknowledge them, or sighn an autograph. Its funny because its not fair. Do you think its possible that a person could be having a bad day? Perhaps?? These are human beings. You obviously caught him at a bad time. And im sorry if you feel he's an @sshole because he didnt say hello to you. And maybe Laimbeer is a Jerk. But you know what?? Ive never met many people who arent jerks.. Everyone can act like a jerk sometimes. I bet most people have act like jerks to their own family and friends... Even you? And do you know how much Laimbeer has given to Detroit? How much money? And time. And you want to slam a guy because his business fell through? DO you know how many businesses are going under with the aconomy the way it is? Laimbeer paid the employees he could. And is still paying now. There are always 2 sides to every story.

I appreciate him as a player, I just don't like him as a person and right now he isn't a player, he is a person.

I don't care what is life in the business world, what he did you are not allowed to do, and when you are a millionaire and have people working for you with families you cannot just cut them off finanacially without a notice, he had enough money to help them out since I wanted to not give a notice, but screw him. It is hard to find a job to support a family too, esspecially when the economy blows, my dad has been looking since Sept. so unless you have valid reasons, leave your comment out.

Im sorry that your dad lost his job. Unfortunately thats life. And though Laimbeer may have money... I doubt he has enough to pay everyones salary. Your dad should get unemployment benefits until he finds a new job. ANd I have met Laimbeer many times and spoken with him many times. He was always nice and professional.
