Back to the Old Ball *Effect*

I took the difference between Winning percentage with the leather ball and the winning percentage with the composite ball, and figured out which teams have benefitted from the changes.

The percentage tells the percent of games you win with the leather ball as opposed to the composite ball...
    1. 30.8% - Raptors
    2. 21.1% - Hawks
    3. 18.6% - Bobcats
    4. 16.5% - Hornets
    5. 15.8% - Heat
    6. 13.5% - Mavs
    7. 12.5% - 76ers
    8. 10.6% - Knicks
    9. 10.2% - Nets
    10. 9.9% - Grizzlies
    11. 9.4% - Suns
    12. 5.4% - Rockets
    13. 3.3% - Wizards
    14. 1.9% - Pacers
    15. 1.6% - Pistons
    16. 1.2% - Clippers
    17. 0.3% - Blazers
    18. -0.3% - Cavs
    19. -0.4% - T'Wolves
    20. -5.6% - Sonics
    21. -7.3% - Kings
    22. -9.1% - Jazz
    23. -9.1% - Warriors
    24. -13.4% - Magic
    25. -13.7% - Nuggets
    26. -17.8% - Bulls
    27. -21.0% - Lakers
    28. -21.8% - Spurs
    29. -27.1% - Celtics
    30. -38.0% - Bucks

That new ball wasn't worth it in any way, shape or size. They went from their iconic basketball lining to some weird, goofy looking lining made by some kindergarten kid. Every player in the league complained about it and I was worried about the watered down quality of play because of the ball and the testing of the new ball to see whether it's legit or not. And even then, over 50% of the team benefitted from the leather ball in your stats.

    In conclusion:

Leather ball all day, all night, any milleniums, any centuries, any decades, any years, any months, any weeks, any days, any hours, any minutes, any seconds, even any milliseconds.

Wow interesting to see how the Raptors vastly improved with the old ball

BTW 4biddenknight if you want to be real anal about it going back to the leather ball has been a wash as statistically you should throw out the Blazers, Cavs and T-Wolves. The margin of difference is so miniscule for those teams that it skews the overall picture.

These last two are because of injuries.....especially the bucks. They were playing good ball untill they lost like 4 of there startes for a pretty long stretch.

at least they are getting the players to test it, instead of their tiny little crew they used when introducing the first composite ball.
