With the Lakers' season possibly on the line they came out and won three straight tough games, led by my boy Kobe with 40, 38 and 42pts. So fellow Laker fans, have our boys in purple and gold finally woken up and decided to play some consistent ball? Tuesday at Indiana should go a long ways towards answering this question.

Flat out..Kobe's the MVP this season...Yes Shaq has helped ALOT but Kobe's stats leadership,clutch shots(which he takes more than Shaq) are extremely valuable to the Lakers..top 5 scoring,top 10 assists,best rebounding guard and probably top 30 in total rebounds per game...He's doing it all...

I say T-Mac is the frontrunner for MVP,Kobe's good but he struggled big time without Shaq,and it makes you wonder how would Kobe be judged if Shaq was out the whole season.-

I don't think that TMac will be MVP or Kobe. I think the person who deserves it the most is Jason Kidd. That guy still makes the Nets an incredible team. He has gotten no love this year, even though he is still rockin it and is going to get them another top seed in the East. Ya ya, I know, it's the east, but still, they have a great team, and he is the one that leads them to that greatness.

If the Lakers make the playoffs, Kobe has a chance at MVP. But I think Jason Kidd deserves it (personally).

I can't remember an MVP ever coming from a non-playoff team... can anyone think of one? I'm not sure that it's ever happened.
