Why the Kings will NOT Beat the Lakers in Playoffs

This is assuming that the lakers make the playoffs. Which by what I am seeing seem very likely.
The Kings will not beat the Lakers because of one player. No, it is not Shaq or Kobe. The kings have one of the most self(or should I say team) destuctive players in the league on thier team. He and he alone is responsible for all the loses that the kings have suffered at the hands of the Lakers.
I bet you all think I am talking about Webber... Nope. The player that cost the Kings a shot at the tittle was, is and always will be #21. This guy needs to be traded if they are ever to make it pass the lakers.
The only way that the Kings will win it this year is 1) They trade him before the deadline. 2) The lakers don't make the playeoffs or 2) The lakers have to play Portland first.. Portland can beat the lakers, if not wear them down to the point where the Kings would have a better chance of beating them. But that is only if the Kings get rid of #21....

Re: Why the Kings will NOT Beat the Lakers in Playoffs

He is one of those player that like to play the rules instead of playing the game. His constant flopping may work against lesser teams in the regular season. But in the playoffs where the Refs tend to swollow the whisltes, this flopping does little, except hurt his team. Not to mention his stats and production falls greatly when they play the Lakers. This alone would not be so bad, because he is playing Shaq! But couple the pruduction reduction and the effect that the flopping has on the calls and it adds up to a lost series every time.
The Refs get tired of his comstant complaining and flopping and become less likely to blow the whistle for the Kings. He also seem to influence his teamates to play the same way. So when the Kings really need a call, it won't be there.
Get Rid of him. Get a "6 fouls" guy to back up Clark and they may win it all. With Divac they have little to no chance of beating the lakers in a 5 or 7 game series....

Aside from probably Duncan, whose stats and production don't drop off when playing against Shaq? Not to say that Divac doesn't flop, but Keon Clark and some scrub are not going to be the answer. Your have a poor theory. I'd think that even Laker fans would admit that if the Kings hit their free throws in game 7, they would have been in the Finals. You have to be clutch to beat LA in the playoffs and the Kings weren't clutch.

Plus you have to get decent refs. After last year's conference finals, I started hating those damn refs. Sure they're humans and make mistakes, but not as many as they did in that series and especially in game 7. I don't mind the Lakers in the playoffs, as long as they don't knock of the Rocks out of 9th seed.

The reason the Kings won't beat the Lakers in the playoffs is because the Mavs will face the Lakers first round and eliminate them. That is why.

everyone knows the real reason: The Lakers will choke like they have all season and miss the playoffs entirely. You can't beat a team that is not there LOL
