hello, McFly! Read what I said again instead of running your mouth. Brand doesn't have a choice! It's the same situation that Olowakandi had last season. If the Clippers match the the offer for the restricted year (which they did with Kandi and most of their other free agents through the years) then Brand is REQUIRED to stay for one more year, after which he can do whatever floats his boat. The only way Brand will NOT be in a Clippers uniform next season is if (a) The Clippers trade him or (b) he gets offered the MAX by someone else and the Sterling decides not to match it for the restricted year.

As far as Miller goes, he has not said he wants to go anywhere. He's hardly talked at all for the most part. His step-dad had cancer and he recently died. He hasn't concerned himself with making interviews about how he wants to leave the team.

And as far as your "Lakers JV team" that's real cute. You're the one who is so high on their players...

bueller81 is right. You know Brand will probably get stuck because of his restriction clause. It suckss for him to work for a guy like Sterling.

Knowing how Sterling runs his org, good chance that Brand gets away from the Clips. If you have a problem with that (I think the tears streaming down your face give it away), complain to the Dallas sportswriter who said it in the first place.

Man, you are a bonehead, probably why you feel right at home here at OS. Andre has said he would like to return to Utah when the time is right, this was way before the death of his stepfather. It's more likely he'll be with the Jazz next year than with anyone else. The opportunity will be there as will the green, he'll be Stockton's replacement.

Re: Pippen a Laker? Brand a Nugget? Miller a Jazzman?

Oh man you are really fishing here. I'm not gonna stoop down to your 15-year old method of arguing, but you are just not understanding how the contracts work. BOTH Andre Miller and Elton Brand are RESTRICTED free agents, not UNRESTRICTED free agents. There's a difference. If Brand and Miller were unrestricted, you're probably right, they would get the hell out of Clipperland. But they are not. And contrary to your statement about Sterling's previous dealings, he WOULD sign them for the final restricted year. I wish to god he didn't keep doing this because when you do that, you are not allowed to trade the player. This is what happened with Olowakandi. Last season he was a restricted free agent (as Brand and Miller are now). Instead of either letting Kandi go somewhere else or trading him and getting something in return for him, he signed him for the restricted year leaving the Clippers unable to trade him. The same thing happened with Mo Taylor and Derek Anderson not long ago. It's what he does. So, again and for the last time, the ONLY way either Miller or Brand will play for different teams next season is if (a) they get traded or (b) they got offered MAX contracts that Sterling refuses to match for the restricted year of the contract. It's not me living in my dreamworld buddy, it's the way it is. There's no way around it. And by the way, the tears streaming down my face? Come on, how pathetic is that. You think I don't know that Sterling is a tight wad and that the Clippers organization is a joke? I've been a fan of theirs since Elgin Baylor signed on with the team in '85 (back when Marques Johnson and Derek Smith were the brightspots). You think I don't know about the owner who's been making me crazy for the past 16 seasons? Maybe you should have your "baby-girl" talk some sense into you so you don't go trying to start fights that you can't back up.
