This may sound like a retoracal statement, but Lebron is just a kid. Kid's do make mistakes. College kids, and adults for that matter. but Lebron is just not a "kid" anymore. Not your everyday child. He probably knows it by now but Lebron is just frickin AWESOME. He has to realize the new burdens on his chest. Realizing it and actually setting forth to do so, may take some time. Time that can kill his career.

And I'll say this again, He needs someone by his side besides his mother. She's got to go. I hope she stays in Ohio when he gets drafted by the bulls.

Amen. You can't fault the kid for his upbringing. A parent's responsibility is to teach values which were apparently neglected. Why wouldn't this kid be a headcase when you read how outrageous she is.

Come on guys, the kid's 18, soon to be a millionaire, and already one of the biggest stars in the country. That's hard to deal with. I was cocky and I was just a "damn good" baseball player at an average school. Not to mention everyone is an *** when they get power that young.

MOST people don't truly grow up until they are early 20's. This kid hasn't even been given a chance to be normal, so why should he be so humble and perfect?

Judge him in a couple of years. After he learns what the world is like, after he makes some big mistakes, and after he's learned he's not "king" and that there are some damn good ballers in the NBA.

It's a tough world, and it's easy to say, "man, I'd be this or that", but come on, he is a kid, and kids don't have a handle of everything yet at 18. So give him a break and let him have some fun while he's at the top of his game. Christ, who DIDN'T want to be a superhero? I did...

I hate fake people and Lebron seems fake.

Lebron is the one who stated he's the humble, peaceful , and quiet, 18 year old from Ohio, not the media.

Maybe he didn't say it 100% that way, but He did say he is staying humble about the whole ordeal. That so called ordeal is, his life.

He's gotta understand. People will judge.

Yeah. I have to agree, sometimes he seems like a good kid, other times, like a cocky, arrogant brat.

I wouldn't get too down on the kid though. It's tough to be humble and down to earth when your mom is buying you a hummer and the press is calling you King James.

Hopefully a blown out knee isn't his story... I think he probably is a good kid but just doesn't know how to handle himself with everybody pulling on him.
