I thought this pertained to real life, also. It's a shame, the thread would have been a lot more interesting.

huh? you can discuss real life if you want, it's just that not many people play organized ball in real life, let alone at a high enough level to start talking about putting up 50pts vs. a triple double. don't sound so downtrodden. geez.....

Well, If I can get back to subject. I like to do either. If a player is light it up, I let the player take more shots to get his points, but if the whole team is playing well, then I try to get a person to contribute which leads to a trip-dip.

I can't really say that I perfer one over the other. I generally like to let the flow of the game dictate my playing style. The W being the ultimate goal. If durning the game I notice that one of my players is acting like a beast, I will feed him tell he busts. I will also check stat before the fourth quarter. If someone is near a tripple double then I will try to work the elements he needs into the game. Like if Jason Kidd is 2 rebounds from a TD, I will crash the O.boards with him and risk the fast break..But if I focus on just one aspect for and entire game, I usually end up with an L.
So balance is more the key for me. My games tend to end with 10, sometimes all players scoring and at least 2-3 players with a double double. Once again the L is what counts the most.

Downtrodden? lol. *sobs* The Man won't let me talk about real life. I'm so oppressed. I'm so downtrodden.

But anyway, to quit giving you sh!t, I don't really pay attention to my style of play in video games. I don't know, it just seems a bit silly. I guess it might be because I don't play basketball video games much, because I've yet to find one tht captured the reasons I think basketball is great, so maybe I just haven't played basketball video games enough to develop a video game playing style.
