Re: Was Gilbert Arenas the best player in the game
The spinning has absolutely nothing to do with your answer. The spinning was the response to my question, because you really werent asking a question with this topic, you just disguised an anti-kobe topic with an arenas veil.Comment

Re: Was Gilbert Arenas the best player in the game
Off-Topic? You made this thread just to throw a subtle shot at people who believe Kobe is the best player in the game. People are calling you on it and you reply with "stop being off-topic." This thread got off topic the second you made a post about seemingly all about Arenas with all intentions of trying to make a feeble attempt to discredit Kobe. For someone who complains about the number of Kobe topics its a little hypocritical to start another one out of spite.Last edited by imaged; 03-26-2007, 11:48 PM.- universal truth is not measured in mass appeal -Comment

Re: Was Gilbert Arenas the best player in the game
No, Arenas wasn't the best player. The best player isn't the best player because he's having a few good months or even a few great games. The best player brings it every night. Kobe was the best player in the league before he scored 81, before he scored 50 in 4 straight, and he still is after. NO ONE in this league has his skill set matched with his work ethic and "killer instinct." There is NO discussion as to who the best player in the league has been the last two seasons.Last edited by imaged; 03-27-2007, 12:03 AM.- universal truth is not measured in mass appeal -Comment

I contributed the truth to this thread. You want me to pretend I can't see through you...Okay.

I guess scoring titles gets you that title then according to you.
Very good.Comment

Re: Was Gilbert Arenas the best player in the game
Shaq hasn't been very dominant the majority of the season, he was injured and just recently stepped up. Duncan okay. Dirk a better season? Probably. His team has a shot a descent shot at breaking 70. But "better" season doesn't mean better player. I know the old "if they switched" comparison tool can only go so far, but I can only dream of the season Kobe would have if his teammates were Josh Howard, Jason Terry, and Devin Harris with Stackhouse off the bench. Wade? I don't see the comparision... Wade attacks and draws fouls as his primary offensive weapon. Kobe can do that plus create any shot on the court. Can shoot the three. Kobe's a better defender (obviously Wade said he wanted to work with him in the offseason last year on his D). Wade is a better playmaker for teammates. But overall Wade can't touch Kobe.Last edited by imaged; 03-27-2007, 12:49 AM.- universal truth is not measured in mass appeal -Comment

Re: Was Gilbert Arenas the best player in the game
rebounds assist rating hands rating clutch play (no not last second shots, real clutch ratings efficiency, team success.)
Truth of the matter is, none of it matters when you cannot lead your teammates and they become your scapegoat.
Im not even sure he wants to play with anyone who could take shine from him.Comment
