Detroit fans, let's remember why we hate Jordan.

THOMAS & JORDAN were kids then. like in middle school, they were both jealous of what the other had, JORDAN of detriots rings (for the time being), THOMAS for Chicago embrassing JORDAN more than him (a Chi-town native).

i watched the 85 all-star game (on tape) almost two weeks ago when this discussion came up about THOMAS coaching JORDAN. it's true, they did freeze MJ out and went at him, and cutting him no slack.

that's why 80's basketball was sooo sweet. you had this obvious dis-like for one another on a professional field, not personal, and when they got together, you knew the game would be hottly contested...
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

That article has no relevence on why you should hate Mike. Thomas, Magic, and others were clearly player-hating Mike in his rookie year; Thomas more so because his beloved hometown of Chicago had become MJ Country upon his arrival. There's no excuse to freeze somebody out in any circumstance. Magic and Mike have made up, but for some reason Mike and Thomas haven't. I agree that Thomas should have been in the 1st Dream Team, but karma always has a way to bite somebody in the ***.

Yes, 80's basketball was great. Don't get me wrong, MJ is the best ever... but when he said that he wouldn't play on the Dream Team unless they exclude Isiah, I thought that was pretty low class.

The article isn't the reason for me hating him. It was just a "reminder." The fact that I'm a lifelong Pistons fan is why I hate him.

I hated Michael Jordan too. I mean really hated him. But later on I began to appreciate what he has done over his career, and now my hatred for him doesn't run nearly as deep as it did in the past. He is an amazing player that had an incredible run of titles throughout his career.

On a related note, TNT showed a bit of the interview John Thompson had with MJ last night on Inside the NBA. (The full interview will be shown during TNT's All-Star weekend telecast.) MJ did give credit to the Pistons as far as being the toughest hurdle he had accomplished over his career, and admitted that they were the team that made him to be the mentally tough guy that he is today. As long as MJ continues to acknowledge what team thoroughly kicked his *** at some point in his career before he won those championships, then I am cool with him. ;-)

I saw that Mike interview also. It was really good. That is one of the things that I am looking forward to this weeked. There's that, the Rookie-Soph game, and the All-Star game. Everything else isn't as important.
