The season started off with the league giving refs the power to control players like robots. No emotion, no ohs or ahs, and with some, dont even look their way on a call or you get T'd up.
Half of the season you had stars coasting
Franchise players complaining about getting traded when they no longer wanted to be on teams they asked to be the main guys for
You saw a slew of injuries that ravaged most teams in the league.
For a long time the eastern conference looked like a collapsing bunch of CBA teams sans about 3 teams.
The best thing about all star weekend was a race between an old fat retired NBA player (Charles Barkley) and an old mummified current referee (**** Bavetta).
The trade deadline was one of the biggest letdowns of the year....
considering how terrible some of these teams are, not one GM thought it was worth improving the team which brings some of the fans into watching their teams purposely creating ways to tank competing with other teams tanking just for a draft pick they might not even get.
What alot made a big deal out of...
Sure you saw some 50/60 point games from Kobe and Gil.
Sure you saw Dallas rack up 60+ wins
Sure you saw The Heat look like they were one and done, and are back in the thick of the east
You also probably overlooked and underrated teams like Houston, Utah, San Antonio players like Tim Duncan, and coaches like Jerry Sloan and Pop
All in all, there has been more disappointment this season than I can remember in a long time.
On a good note, Joey Crawford is gone thanks to Tim Duncan
The playoffs will be starting soon
The east is up in the air, the west will be a slugfest
Now its time for ESPN to put down their bias and shove the "team game" down your throats as if they were doing it all year.
How do you remember the season?
