Last day of the regular season... Game discussion thread.

Today is the last day of the regular season, and there are quite a few teams playing tonight. Thus, I felt a thread might be fitting to discuss the various games OS'ers are watching.

There are two games with playoff implications:

Golden State vs Portland (10:00 PM ET): If Golden State wins, they make the playoffs.

New Orleans vs Los Angeles Clippers (10:30 PM ET): If Golden State loses and the Clippers win, the Clippers make the playoffs.
ESPN will be airing the Bulls vs Nets game at 7:30 PM ET, followed by the above mentioned Hornets vs Clippers game at 10:30 PM ET.

I'm looking forward to the Golden State game, as I'd love to see the Warriors make the playoffs this year. They've been the team I've been most excited about this season, and it would be fitting for them to squeak into the playoffs in the closing moments on the season.

Im watching Tor v. Phili. I have a bet going that Toronto would not get 48 or more wins this season, so I have to hope that they rest there starters again.

Lakers @ Kings has implications as well.

If the Lakers lose and the Warriors win, then the Warriors will be #7 seed and Lakers will be #8 seed.

The Bulls-Nets game is huge. If the Bulls win, they lock up the 2 seed and won't have to play Detroit/Miami/Cleveland until the Conference Finals if they manage to get that far. Plus, they may get to face the Wizards.

If the Nets win, then they get the 6th seed and a 1st round match-up against the talented, but inexperienced Raptors. If they get to play the Raptors instead of the Bulls or Pistons, they've got a much better chance of moving on to the 2nd round just because of their experience vs. the Raptors inexperience.

This game is going to be intense as both teams have a lot at stake. I hope the Bulls continue playing well and dispose of the Nets. I really don't want the Bulls to play Miami in the 1st round.

another game with some interesting importance is the Minnesota game. The Wolves have to lose tonight or the Clippers get their draft pick.

weird situation. if Minnesota wins they lose, if they lose they win

Im watching the Celtics vs Detroit.

Not a big game at all. Paul Pierce was talking with the Celtics announcers during the entire 2nd quarter. They were just talk about some of the young kids who made improvements this year like Big Al, Rondo, and Green. They talked about what Pierce will do this offseason for conditioning, and of course they talked about the lottery a little bit.

Now were just watching Rondo and Jefferson fill up the stat sheet.

Rondo has 11 pts 6 ast 5 stl 2 reb
Jefferson has 12 pts and 11 reb

5 minutes to go in the 3rd.

Eh, my respect for LBJ went down a smidge tonight. It's no biggie, though. According to the Bucks announcers, LBJ said in their area, this one is already done and over with, let's get to the playoffs.

The Bucks announcers were wondering if any of the Bucks players heard it. I don't mind if he says it, especially when he can back it up, but I'd prefer that talk in the locker room behind closed doors.

The Bucks and their cast of misfits made a game of it until the third quarter. At one point, the Bucks had Boykins, Illosova, Dakar Makota, Lynn Greer and David Noel on the floor.

At least they kept it close for awhile.

As Cubs fans say, wait till next year.

It was nice to watch Al Jefferson prove once again he's going to be a superstar in years to come.

And it was nice to see Rajon Rondo prove to the world he's a genuine thief.

Warriors are playing very well. Up 18 at the half. Providing they don't choke, it looks like they're in.

A Suns/Warriors series would be great, but I'd rather they face the Mavs.

Dubs are now up 26 on the Blazers

I just hope the Lakers can hold on so they can play the Mavs

Travis Outlaw is the only bright spot on the floor for Portland tonight.
