Attention to detail........ It's just laughable.

I know a lot of people can care less about this "laughable" type of detail some of these new video games can produce, but this aspect of videogames is sometimes left in the dark. I love when games pay such a GREAT respect to attention to detail.

This may not be a big deal to some, and others may have already known this, since the release of NBA Inside Drive 2003. But the attention to detail with the players and arena's is just outstanding and breathtaking.

    History has been made people.

Many people know Cherokee Parks as a 6-10, Veteran of the game, with no game. But only over the past few years has his image changed so drasticially.

Since the days of Nba2k1, He's been in the game with no "personality", and in real life he's had colorful tattoo's all over his body.

Only recently I looked, and found that he actually has them on his body in ID 2003. His own true personality comes through, finally, in a video game series. All CP fans, the few dozen, wil be happy to hear this. I'm not one but I'm glad to see their respect his game and his tattoo's.

This just shocks me to a great degree. The gameplay is there and the various stat trackings for "stat junkies" like myself is also there, But the Court details and the player details keep this above the rest, IMO.

Not to mention the ON the court logos, and how accurate they are compared to their real life counter parts in ID. It's right on the money. Compared to NBA 2k3, where some logos have been off since Nba2k through 2k3, ID hit them right on, with this version.

I love this competition between these games though. Nba2k3 has its bright points. But just as of recent events, ID has the brighter points that really stand out.

I just find it shocking that a game almost 4 years old hasn't gone as extreme as a 2 year old title. Some think its stupid to go this far. But I'm lovin' it.

It seems you find something new everyday when playing this game. I still feel the same way with Nba2k3.

ANybody think Ign's 8.2 rating of this game is a shame?

    I'd give it a 8.8, maybe a solid 9.0.

I know this is a bit OT Wally, but how long of quarters are you playing on ID2003. I think I play very similar to you, and I was just curious what sorts of "settings" you are using. Out of everyone here, I really do think both of us look for the same things in a sports game, realism, true to life, and we want to see our video games act just like the real deal.
