What would J Kidd do on the Suns?

Just curious what you guys think. Kidd was always thought of as a much better player than Nash until Nash went to the Suns. Nash has definitely stepped up his game but I also think it has to do with the system he is in. I don't think the Suns would see a drop off if Kidd replaced Nash.

Not to mention the defense Kidd would bring...

What would've Montana done without the WCO?

What would Ruth have done without hitting in that lineup?

It's always interesting to speculate, but really it's impossible to know.

But we saw what Nash did in a non-Suns offense. Even though his Mavericks offense was higher paced than just about any team, it wasn't like the Suns offense. Anyways, my post was more about saying how great Jason Kidd is than insulting Nash.

The SUNS game is all about pace and spacing...the 3 ball.

Kidd doesn't have the pace of Nash...nor does he have the 3 ball shot.

Kidd is the better all round player, post up + D...but Nash makes the Suns what they are.

Nash is a much better offensive player. Kidd is a better all round player.

I could also ask the same thing. What if Nash was not let go by DAL? Could it be that they might be the champions by now? But then, the Nash era in DAL was also the era of the Twin Towers of SA, and the Sha-Kobe in LAL. Is it coincidence that Nash only surfaced after those tandems dissapeared? And the biggining of a new tandem between Stouda-Nash.

You mean jason kidd and his 13 ppg and 40 fg %? While kidd is as good of a passer and better defender than nash, nash's ridiculous efficiency gives the suns an extra edge that kidd just can't bring to the table. theyd be great but nash brings them to another level with his ability to spread the floor.

Kidd's ability to spread the floor is just as good as Nash's. I'll give you field goal percentage but Kidd also has a much better post game than Nash. Kidd's career PPG is only 1.2 ppg less than Nash and he actually has averaged more assists and of course significantly more rebounds. So much of the Nets offense is isolation of Carter or RJ and yet Kidd continues to rack up the assists.

Kidd's style won't work as well with our system. We'd have to alter it or slow it down somehow.

Don't look at career numbers. nash's numbers are skewed because he was a bench player his first few years in the league. im a huge kidd fan but he is no where near the offensive weapon that nash is. kidd's weakness has always been his below average shooting. if he had a better shot and more offensive moves hed be even more of a monster, but hes been a pretty consistent 40 % shooter his career.

He would sit on the bench behind Steve Nash.

Agree with this post 100%. Without Nash's shooting, Phoenix's pick-and-rolls wouldn't be anywhere near as effective.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

Kidd would average at least 15 APG.

Amare would shoot 60% from the field.
