      Dirk averaged 11.5 boards a game.

      the problem was that he only averaged 19.7 points per game, which is low for him for the playoffs.

      anyway, that obviously doesnt have much to do with winning the MVP. It was voted on before the playoffs started. If playoffs were a main criteria for voters, the only playoffs that MVP voters were able to draw on was last year's playoffs when Dirk led all players in rebounds per game and double doubles.
