    Scoring Title Showdown...

Who ya'll think its gonna be? TMac didn't start hitting till late last night and got 24pts, while Kobe got the advantage of playing 2OTs and had 52pts. So now its Tmac 30.6ppg and Kobe 30.2ppg. If Kobe continue on his 40ppg pace he has goin, no doubt it'll be him.

Yeah should be a close battle of scoring titles...but I don't care how many points Kobe gets as long as LA wins...

The thing I liked so far about all of this is how McGrady is showing character and depth by not going for the title, but trying for the wins, every game. They've been close consistantly because T-Mac has been playing with his team and averaging around 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assist as opposed to the 40+ points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists that Kobe is throwing out every night.

But now with Drew Gooden on T-Mac's team, I think he'll loose the scoring title to Kobe before the season is over.

You never know, but T-Mac isn't trying to compete with Kobe. He is just playing his game, and I'm sure he could get 40 or 50 a night if he really wanted to.

Exactly. If he shot the ball around 30 times he'd make 40 every other night , at least.

TMac takes more shots per game than Kobe. He also shoots a lower percentage and averages fewer rebounds and assists.

It's going to be the best race for scoring honours since Robinson dropped 71 on the final day of the season to snatch victory, I think off Shaq?

Anyway Kobe will probably win because he is purposely trying to score 40+ points every game because he is going for Wilts record whereas T-Mac is just trying to get his team to win games.

Kobe is just doing what TMac is doing. Scoring to win games. Everyone says he's doing it to pad stats. I disagree. He does it so they have a chance of winning. No one else scores on the Lakers. Including Shaq at this point. He is just a bit slow now, and he doesn't have that lift and explosion that he normally has. So, to help with the extra load, Kobe scores more, And to score more, you shoot more, I have no problems with Kobe throwing up 30 shots, 40 shots, or even 50 shots, as long as it is at a good percentage (50% + in last 11 games) and we are winning (9-2 in last 11 games). I've said that people are free to their opinions, and that's totally true, but I feel that he is just trying to help them win.
