Whatcha got now, Steve Francis?

After getting drilled by Dallas in the first three meetings by an average of 19 points, Steve Francis still insisted that his Rockets were "a much better team than Dallas."

Tonight in Houston, with Dallas on a back-to-back after an emotional win against the Spurs, Stevie's boys had a chance to prove this theory yet again.

Dallas pounded Houston badly yet again. That's 4-0 in very lopsided games.

Still think you're better there Mr. Francis?

Wow..Steve Francis posts on these boards!? Which username does he use, may I ask? Anyways, the Rockets are much better team than the Mavs 'cause they know how to play D. The problem right now is they're still young, but they're getting better as a team each day they play. I'm sure when they get to the playoffs this or next season, they won't choke and won't be embarassed like Dallas is in every postseason.
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "

So where is all this D? The Mavericks score at will every time they play.

That's four consecutive ***-kickings, and 7 of the last 8 meetings.

Surprisingly, Shawn Bradley completely dominated Yao Ming. Blocked his shot three times.

If you were to compare Dallas' defensive stats and Houston's you can clearly see Houston has done a better job against their opponents than Dallas did. When they play each other Houston breaks down for some reason. They start off great and than in the second half just collapse and disappear for some reason. Only this game has Bradley played agressively against Yao, in others Yao just dominates Bradley.
In years to come this team will become what the Lakers are now. Just dominate their teams. Yao is only a rookie and he allready has made a huge impact in the Nba and Francis is only going to get better, oo you better watch out Erod,Dallas Mavs, and the rest of the NBA.

None of that will happen until Francis becomes a better player.

He's amazingly quick and gifted, but he's a certifiable ball hog at this point. He needs to play off guard, first and foremost, and learn to get others involved.

The Mavs just sag on him and let him shoot. He's not that great from outside, merely average.

They will get better, for sure. But I've also heard rumblings about Tim Duncan being interested in coming to Dallas, which would solidify the Mavs as THE team to beat for a long time if it happens.

Damn, if Tim Duncan does sign with the Mavs, no question that that would be THE team to beat. With Dirk Nowitzky and Tim Duncan on the same team it will be frightening to see what they both can do.
I agree that Steve Franchise is a ball hog. It's understandable because he is the Rockets best player right now so it's a good thing that he teakes most of the shots and makes most of the plays. I gotta disagree about him not dishing out the ball to his teammates. He passes the ball whenever his players are open. He is averaging 6 apg this season and though out his 4 year career. Maybe this is not improving because his shot percentage and ppg is improving. Don't make a mistake about it though, he will average more assists as his teammates mature, especially Yao. Franchise's game improves every year. His stats improve each year. Perhaps when Yao gets better, it would be better to run the offense through him, but that's not the case right now.

BTW Tim Duncan is interested in every team. I think the Spurs will resign him if they're smart, and he also does talk alot about playing with Kidd. Unless Kidd resigns with the Nets, chances are him and Timmy will be teammates on the Spurs team.

um... have you ever seen Steve Franics play?? He is not a ball hog 1st of all he averages 6.0 assists a game. Ball hogs usally dont have a guy on the team averaging 17.9 PPG(M<obley), and 13.5(Yao) And he is ranked 13th in the NBA in assists and assists per game. How is that being a ball hog?? Second his 3 point percentage is .396 which is 19th in the league, Better than such 3 point shooters like Ray Allen, Reggie, and Dirk Nowitzki. So saying hes only an average long range shooter is crazy too.
