i dunno why some people claim joradn coming back was a mistake. Sure this wizard jordan is weak compared ot the jordan of old, we see jordan get blocked, get beat, etc ,etc.

people say he ruined his legacy. thats a bunch of BULL. Sure, his stats are way down and hes getting beat. But hes 40 . He showed us that even at 40 he can still hang with today's bests... kobe, mcgrady, vince, paul pierce, sure he gets OUTPLAYED by them.. but NOT too badly. He showed us that even when he has NO MORE HOPS, and no more speed, he can still score. Back in the days people said he was good only because he can jump over people, well now jordan proved to us that he woulda scored no matter waht. Jordan has better fundamentals then 95% of the league.

Sure, he gets balled up and his scoring is down, but just the fact that at age 40 he can sitll compete, that is the most amazing about him.

Him scoring 52 last year at age 39 is more amazing then anything he has ever done, more amazing then hte 63 vs celtics, more amazing then the 55 against NY, more amazing then any dunk he's ever done.

Hehehe. I hope Kobe destroys MJ's records for the sake of all you Kobe haters.

        <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

um, kobe can do what he wants but he won be greater then jordan until he LEADS a team to a championship (which means Shaq will have to retire first), and win multiple MVPs, and dominate every opponent.

Kobe is great yeah, but has he dominated Tmac, iverson, vince, the way Joradn used to dominate ALL his competitions? NO. I'm sick and tired of you "kobe lovers" being so damn ridiculous, kobe had that amazing string of scoring games and look at his averge.. IT'S STILL ONLY 30.2 So can you imagine how amazing jordan must have been to averge 37?

Who in the blue hell cares about streaks? Kobe can have 10 more games of 40 + points for all i care, but if at the end of the season his scoring averge is just 30, thats NOTHING SPECIAL.... plenty of guys have averged 30 in the NBA.

REMEMBER, after all those high scoring games hes still averging 30.2 so until his averge bumps up to 35 or something.... get outta here with this "kobe is the best scorer" crap. and why does it matter if kobe breaks jordan's record? Its one record out of how many?

        and oh yeah..

KOBE CAN WIN MVP, KOBE CAN AVERGE 33, it will not matter if the lakers do not make the playoffs, it will still bet he most embarassing thing ever. imagine a DEFENDING CHAMPION missing the playoffs with basically the same team intact!

Sooo...........by your logic, it doesn't matter that MJ scored 52 last year or 43 this year since his team won't be making the playoffs.

Yeah, he won 6 titles practically by himself back in the day but as of right now he's just a slightly above average player who on occasion whips at the ole' MJ on everybody. As a matter of fact his numbers are not as good as another 40 year old this year (well, 39 but close enough) . I.E. Karl Malone (his team is a #6 seed as of right now)

I'm an MJ fan and I honestly don't care that much for Kobe but I'll give him his props when I think he deserves it.

The negative comments that I've wrote about MJ are all tounge in cheek. I visit these boards regularly and the majority of posters are always negative against Kobe. Sure he might not be as good as MJ was back in the day but right now he's the best in the league IMO.

Jordan didn't win it all by himself. He won it with Scottie Pippen and clutch performances from other teammates.

                    "Practically by himself"

He's as close to a one man dynasty that you and I will probably ever see

I would say that Malone has a better team around him then MJ has in Washington.... The best player, Stackhouse was injured for alonggggg time, and now, Larry Hughes is out 3 weeks. That is tough when your team is nothing special anyway.
