he is just stating his opinion, and i for one agree with him. In my opinion I believe that the MVP of the league should be a player that the team would be really bad without... Garnett, DUncan, Mcgrady, Kidd...If Shaq was 100% he would be here too....

Ahh so your opinion that is the only one that matters when it comes to MVP talk.

Jump off that high horse... Oh and this is coming from a Spurs and Duncan fan who disagrees wtih you.

Nothing wrong with stating ones opinion, as that is what a forum is for.

        But

I would also add to end all debates.

Now he is trying to state that his "opinion" is now "fact".

I am sorry if I was trying to speak for everyone. However, my point was before anyone start a debate about who the MVP is, at this point. There must be some basic criterias that the MVP should fit. Remember we are talking about who is the Most Valuable Player, not who is having the best season. Cleary, Kobe is having a hell of a season, but he is definitely NOT the MVP with a 5-10 record without Shaq.

Well because Kobe does not not have good enough players around him and Duncan does so thats why Kobe is 5-10 without Shaq.

Tell me you are joking, right? Are you serious? Do you honestly think Kobe would have the w/l record if he was on the Spurs instead of Tim Duncan? You think Malik Rose and the rest of those fluff buffs are better than the Lakers supporting cast? The reason why they seem better is because Tim Duncan, like all big men, can make average players who can't create their own shots look good. Duncan makes the game easy for his teammates by getting them easy shots and looks because of his low post presence. Bottom line, a 7ft and 260 pound big man makes a big difference on any team. They affect both sides of the ball.

i hate when people decide awards just because the team MAY have a good second option...it's the same thing with coaches...I guess Don Nelson should not be considered a candidate for COY because he has Dirk,Steve and Finley...

So your gonna tell me that Stve Nash is not valuable to his team?If you take him out it would be extremly hard to find a point that can run the offense at a quick pace that Steve does..regardless of weither they have or don't have Dirk and Finley..I still think Timmy D is the most valualbe but i hate the fact that people don't consider the Kobe's C-Webbs of the world just because they have a good second option...

                        just my opinion anyway
