    2007-2008 Prediction Thread

    West:

    1. Mavs
    2. Suns
    3. Spurs
    4. Rox
    5. Nuggets
    6. Jazz
    7. Hornets
    8. Lakers

    East:

    1. Bulls
    2. Nets
    3. Pistons
    4. Celtics
    5. Wizards
    6. Cavs
    7. Bucks
    8. Raptors

IMO the West is somewhat cut and dry this year. Oden eliminates the Blazers from consideration in my book, same with Brand and the Clippers. Sacramento is done, they don't have anything that threatening about that team. I predict Memphis and G.S. to barely miss the playoffs. My sleeper team in the West is the Hornets. They have a steady offense, and a glass gobbler/blocking machine in Chandler. I think the Lakers have just enough to sneak in, but will probably get their asses kicked in the first round.

The East is going to be filthy. I don't know if it's possible for only one team to make it to the playoffs from a division, but if it is then the Southeast is only going to be sending one squad this year. Although the Bobcats, Heat, Knicks and Magic are all just as good candidates as the bottom three in my prediction. I gotta say the Bucks are my sleeper team.

Celtics, 4th? Yeah right. The Bulls and Nets definitely won't do as well as them. And the Pistons I'm not too sure about. I think the C's will match up real well with them.

    1. Celtics
    2. Bulls.
    3. Pistons
4... etc. I don't really care about the rest.

    West:
    1. Suns
    2. Spurs
    3. Mavs
    4... etc. Whatever

Yup, 4th. My reasoning is that they'll need some time [probably a full season] to adjust to each other. Plus you guys have the Doc Rivers factor, as well as the fact that you have a bunch of guys who haven't proven much outside of your big three. Boston should be firing on all cylinders come playoff time though.

The Nets/Bulls/Pistons have all had their core together for years, and they have all improved through the draft/free agency.

My prediction for the Pistons: The fracturing between Flop and Rasheed grows and shatters team chemistry, the Bulls and Cavs easily blow past the Pistons in the Central, they get the 6 or 7 seed, and bow out in the first round.

EAST: I think that the Wizards are going to tank hard either in the first half or the 2nd half. This will let the !!BOBCATS!! sneak into 7 or 8. The east might be able to give the West a challenge in Finals this season. The Heat will be part of atleast the first round though.

WEST: I like your list except that I have the Clippers or Warriors battling for 8 or not just being 7 or 8. I like the sleeping beast that the Hornets are in the West but the Clipps or Warriors can come out of nowhere if the Lakers dont get it together.

            1. Bulls
            2. Pistons
            3. Cavs

            7. Raptors
8 Battle: Bobcats, Bucks , Knicks, Hawks (In order)

            Should be a great season.

I still see this team somewhere in the top 3.

Detroit vs Houston in the finals. Don't ask me why, just feels like that.

                  East:
                  1. Bulls
                  2. Celtics
                  3. Cavs

                  5. Pistons
                  6. Raptors
                  7. Nets
                  8. Heat

                  Yes I know, NO Wizards

                  West:
                  1. Spurs
                  2. Suns
                  3. Jazz
                  4. Mavs
                  5. Rockets
                  6. Nuggets
                  7. Lakers
                  8. Hornets

Sadly my Pacers look like they have no hope at all of making the playoffs. The roster has to be one of the worst collections of talent I have ever seen. It is a good thing Granger is athletic because Murphy and Dunleavy are a waste. That trade was a waste. ONeal wants out, let him leave he couldnt get the team to the Finals when there was talent around him. And please get rid of Tinsley, I have grown tired of his act. And last hiring OBrien was very dissapointing.

The Pacers might finish in last.
