I'm surprised. I thought Refs were untouchable and never get in trouble. I don't think I ever remember hearing about a ref getting suspended or fined for anything. Crazy. But it looks like one ref is suspended for 2 games this month, and another is being fined $1,000. Not that much, but it's still something. Both involved something with Pat Riley.

Cause then it wouldn't really be equal. It is all relative. If a ref makes $10,000 (more than that I'm sure, but just as an example), and a coach makes $50,000 a year, then you can't fine them the same. A $1000 fine will be felt more by the refs than it would by the coach. So, you have to scale it all.Comment
