Yeah, and the actual release of their shot is pretty textbook. Just the wind-up is strange. Ronnie Brewer has some bone deformity, which is why he shoots weird. Kevin Martin has a great release, but everything before that looks like a HS girl jacking up an NBA range three.
Shawn Marion's jumper is confounding. I don't see how you could get any consistency out of a shot like that, but it seems to work for him.Comment

Yeah Barbosa's is weird too, its like he pushes the ball with two hands at a high rate of speed, and it makes it flat with no arch. Marion has huge hands and does this flicking motion. I remember playing a pick up game with my cousin and we had to shoot like Marion if we shot. Funniest game ever.
I remember when we drafted him that was one of his weaknesses and i was like WTF is that!!! Shooting off his chest??!?! We're drafting a weirdo! But thank God it goes in and he's a freakish athlete.Comment
