The last gripe I have is, why does Billups sit so much? Against the Kings it took till about 4 minutes left in the game to put him back in. I wouldn't mind this if we had Bobby Jackson as the reserve, but Atkins has been in a season slump. Don't get me wrong Rick is a great coach, but sometimes I think he's too stubborn with his rotation.

Please Rick!!!
I'm trying to stay positive about the Laker game, but this could easily be another road loss. All I want to see though is Rick make some roster changes. I know he's in 1st place, but the guy does not budge on his rotations. It's about time to sit Curry and let Prince step in. Prince I believe is going to be a star. He is a very explosive offensive player, and his arm span makes him a good defender/shot blocker. You can argue all you want about Curry's D, but the team is offensively handicapped with Curry and Ben Wallace on the floor. I would also like to see Okur get a little more playing time.

Re: Please Rick!!!
I'll watch a lot of it on Fox Sports Net Detroit, but I won't go this year. I use to call Play-By-Play for the Thumb Area schools (Bad Axe, Elkton, Unionville-Sebewaing) when I worked up there. Got to do a lot of State Tourny games. That's a great athmosphere.Listen to The Remodeling Clay Podcast!

RobUofM, you're saying almost eactly what I posted up at another site a couple days ago. Here's what I said:
"I've been saying this for months, and I'll continue to say it: the Pistons should give Tayshaun Prince more playing time. We're making absolutely no more progress/improvements as a team with Michael Curry on the floor now, than what we would with Prince playing as a raw rookie who lacks experience but learns on the fly. The production just isn't there on the offensive end whenever Curry and Ben Wallace is on the floor at the same time. An opposing defense can play off of both guys, making it extremely tough for the other 3 players to find room to score. Wallace obviously has to be on the floor to solidify the interior D and also rebound. On the other hand, Curry is on the floor for perimeter D, which admittedly Prince can't do as well, but he's getting better at it. However, Prince can also make the opposing D pay for laying off of him with his offensive ability. But Curry? No way, no how. He should be riding the bench a lot more often than he does now."
And as far as Chauncey Billups is concerned, I agree. The Pistons should run more plays for Billups to get him off like they do Richard Hamilton. Plus the team should let Billups freelance more on isolation plays, as he's pretty good in getting past his man while driving to the hoop and drawing fouls. The Pistons offense is too "structured" at times, and there are situations where they should let the best offensive players on the team take their defender one-on-one to get more of those "hidden" points (free throws).
