Well after a couple games played tonite...I'm kinda feeling ASB a little bit. It has been fun! oh, and I've only seen one HR and it wasn't by me. The future throw option is a nice touch."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

As a long time HH'er playing ASB is going to be a shock to your system. Not so much in it's gameplay but sweet moses it takes forever to play once you have dabbled with HH. 20-30 min games compared with ASB in the 45 range.
I'm not goign to say I can pass judgement but HH still has the best AI. And we aren't talking about the stuff that HH does well, I'm talking just nickle and dime baseball.
For example. The AI has a hard time with bunts. If you put down a really great bunt the wrong player with field it leading to a hit. I laid down a bunt toward first and the thing was it went just left of first either the 2nd basemen should have gotten it (he was the closet) or the 1B should have picked it up and tossed it to the pitcher but what happens. The pitcher flags down the ball with the 1b waits on the bag. This is just fundamental baseball.
Plus in ASB the animations can hamper the gameplay. In HH this rarely is the case. It does happen but not to the extent in ASb. I tried to catch a pop-fly and when I got near to the circle it locked my player it. So the result was the ball flying over my head for a single.

One little thing ASB doesnt do that I noticed. Man on 2nd less than two outs, a hard hit ball to the right side of the infield, the runner on 2nd stays put. Sort of makes it useless to hit behind the runner. Not a big deal, but it is fundamental baseball.

Well, it's official, I'm returning All-Star Baseball andg getting HH when it comes out. I've been trying to get used it but I just can't.Comment
