Lakers are going to be a dangerous team come playoff time.

            D. Fish has been better than expected.

Bynum is making me eat my words from the summertime.

Nash is in the thick of the MVP race, he's my MVP [has been since last year].

            Ariza was a NICE trade.

I haven't watched many Laker games before today, but with Bynum playing as well as he is, and the other supporting cast playing well, if this is indicative of their play, the Lakers are easily as good as the Suns and an injured Spurs team.

                The West is disguesting...Geez.

The Lakers are a 6th placed team yet only 2 or so games out.

                  Re: lakers vs suns

And the Lakers were missing Walton and Brown. The Lakers and Suns are a good match up because of their contrasting styles. I said in other threads, but the only team I don't want the Lakes to face in the first round is the Spurs. The Mavs also somewhat scare me, but Harris/Terry doesn't scare me like Nash does.

With Bynum playing inside as well as he is, things are really looking up. I just scratch my head at losing to the Cavs, and giving up a 28 point lead in NY.

i still like the suns in a 7 game series, so i still have the lakers in the lower tier behind jazz, spurs, mavs, and suns

I am in definite agreement. With that said, the only team that is truly scary is the Spurs. So it doesn't matter that they aren't in the upper tier to me, as long as they don't play the Spurs first.

                        This year.

Next year, baring injury, will be the Lakers shot at the NBA Finals. I think they are the 5th best team in the west, but they could still win a series against all the teams that are above them except the Spurs.

Add Kwame as Andrew's backup, and then move Rony to his natural PF spot as Lamar's backup. Heck, IMHO because of his defense and athleticism, Trevor should be the starting 3 instead of Luke.

                        Andrew
                        Lamar
                        Trevor
                        Kobe
                        Fish

Bench: Kwame, Rony, Radman, Sasha, Jordan....

I like that team against most teams in the west.

                        Good game today against Phoenix.

                            Let's not forget.

The Suns are not necessarily better than the Lakers this year.

                            Tim Thomas is gone.

Andrew and Fish are IMMEDIATELY better at center and Point than Kwame and Smush.

Ariza has fit in seamless since he came back home. I am thrilled about that trade.
