Joakim not doing so well so far......

He has been habitually tardy to practice, hasn't really played well and now he is screaming at assistant coaches.

    Hooray for bad draft picks.

At first, I thought he was a great pick. Clearly, this is not how I was imagining it going. I hope he graduated with something nice cause he might not be in the league for that long. Only in freaking Chicago.

Wasn't he considered a bit of a reach and not someone who could translate to the NBA game? I seem to remember that was the analysis on him when he was in the draft.

He seemed like a goofy and easygoing guy....I guess not.

He's what they call an "energy" guy, someone who will hustle and do all the little things... Basically all he can do is rebound and block shots. It bugged me out how people actually had him going #1 overall at one point, before he decided to come back to Florida for another year.

This boggled my mind as well.

People talking about him like he was a superstar player.

Thankfully, he stayed in school another year and NBA teams realized that he wasn't the second coming of God and his stock fell...a bit. I remember talk of him going Number 1 in the 2006 Draft. Though, I will say that I don't think that draft was really that impressive to begin with. When guys like Shelden Williams are going fifth you don't have a deep draft. Sorry.

Joakim is the only Bull playing with heart right now.....
even the former player who personified heart and hustle (Ben Wallace) isnt playing hungry.

Being late? no excuse for that....
but he was also reprimanded twice this year for staying his team is playing with no urgency..I think its a motivation thing..

the games ive seen Joakim play, hes done good....he is what he is- a hustle man.... yall are trying to Kwame Brown him lol

I wasn't a big fan of the Noah pick BUT he's not as bad as I thought he would be offensively. He does bring the "energy" by supplying rebounds and block shots. BUT the one thing I was worried about was his scoring. As we all know, he's a very limited array of post moves(if any) BUT he can score if he gets himself in the painted area. Sounds crazy but there are big men out there who couldn't score if they are right under the basketball with no one defending(i.e. Ben Wallace). BUT Noah will get you a basketball if he is within range. The only problem is getting himself into position to score. I can live with that for now.

As for his situation, I'm kinda dissappointed in him because coming from a championship program I'd thought he'd be more mature than this. Well I will say this, as bad as the Bulls are playing this year I'm glad to see some form of team unity amongest the players.

That's a basic sum up of what I feel when I see the guy. I like him a hell of a lot more than I like Ben Wallace. I try to defend the Wallace pickup but can't come up with anything more than the fact that we crippled the Pistons everytime we play them. It really doesn't matter though when we honestly won't be making the playoffs with the type of garbage gamestyle we're playing. Noah has one thing that I wish more NBA players had. He has the heart to improve. I think he'll be a pretty solid guy. He just needs to learn how to be more humble as a rookie and follow the ropes properly. We'll see how it goes.

If you had seen Noah on TV and in interviews while he was at Florida, you'd know maturity wasn't something he oozed.

Mind boggling pick, considering Noah's biggest positive is his hustle and energy. Since when are hustle guys lottery picks?

Greg Oden was never a great interviewer BUT I never considered him immature. I'm not sure it's fair to measure ones maturity off of the quality of his interviews, unless he just start cussing.

Oden and Noah were poor interviews in different ways. Oden was just boring, dull. Noah acted like a jackass everytime someone put a mic in front of his face. He was basically a clown. Oden was like a 50 year old.

He was more of the "intangibles" guy that scouts raved over. I hate the damn word but it's what they saw. They said he was mature, experienced, battle tested, a senior leader. I think that's why people liked him. He also could hit a mean outside jumper.

I've been saying for two years that Noah was a worse version of Anderson Varejo so his struggles don't shock me.
