    Is Dwyane Wade tradable?

Don't believe Wade is in Miami for life.

Yes, he has three years left on his extension, and no, the Heat isn't about to trade him. Not now, anyway. But no true star of the game -- which Wade had become -- has gone through anything like this. Ever. Stars flame out, and Wade's people know this. The public's memory is short. New stars evolve. Riley has a reputation around the NBA for wearing out his stars with his grueling practices and power game. Many believe his tactics shortened Patrick Ewing's career.

With Miami in such dire straits and Riley as competitive as ever, it's painful at times to see the exhaustion on Wade's face. He's starting to sit out some games, and the word is that his shoulder is worse than previously reported, which usually is shorthand for Wade being shut down for a long stretch or for the season. You figure Wade's advisers have to be considering that.

    ----

What do you think? Would you trade him? Could you trade him...? Or is he to valuble to lose? He's not Jordan, LeBron, or Kobe but you would think he'd be in Miami for life.

Although they mention some possiblities I just don't see him going anywhere. You'd think they'd try and get something back together once they get rid of shaq but you never know with Riley.

I can't see wade anywhere else...

Shaq would go before Wade, but then again i really don't see any trade value in Shaq

No. The MIA front office would be complete idiots to even consider trading a bankable commodity like Wade. This roster needs an enema, and Wade should shut it down for the season while they do it. This is going to be a pretty good draft, and they've got some tradable peices to purge, gather picks, and get 'youthier'.

HMcCoy has the right of it. It's just one bad season. They have to ride out Shaq's scrubby, salary cap vacuuming years to atone for loading up for that home run swing at the chip, but that's no reason to get crazy and trade a young superstar like Wade. Timmy, Nash, Kidd, KG and Shaq are all getting older fast. They'll be retired before you know it. That leaves Kobe, Lebron, Dwight, Yao and Wade as the guys carrying the torch before Kobe leaves. In a few short years, Wade will be one out of three to five guys who are established superstars. It'd be really foolish to give that up in a panic at this point. With a high draft pick, a deep upcoming draft class and Shaq's salary coming off the books, in three years they could be right back into contention with some smart GM moves. It just so happens that it's shocking that they are the worst team in the league. Riley has to just swallow that for now and think medium term.

exactly, and if it is, this is no more of a discussion than a Peter Vescey rumor.

While I don't think he should be traded, he is so injury-prone now. He hardly plays.

He can come back to Chicago if he likes. We'll take him with open arms.

But at this point I don't think he is tradeable unless some team offers something crazy for him. And luckily for Isiah, the league doesn't allow you to trade your entire roster for one player.

I think D-Wade playing 1 vs. 5 gets more wins than the current Knicks team.

It'd be funnier if the Heat weren't actually behind the Knicks
