He can easily compete with the other stars around the league... the problem is he's just "going through the motions" in Indiana.

I would love to see him as a Knick. He would be a much better fit in our team than Curry or Randolph... and they would be better fits with the Pacers.

I don't think Houston can give up anything that's comparable for JO'N.

They'd have to practically steal him. Not to mention everyone is worried about his knee...

He can't stay healthy and he loves shooting more than posting up at this point in his career. And he's never had a great % for a big man...

I believe it has a lot to do with his team. The guy is basically Indiana's only real threat. I mean c'mon... Danny Granger is leading the team in points!

With the Knicks, you get a few other scorers and they play a bit more uptempo than Indiana. Pressure gets relieved from O'Neal to score and thus will allow him to score more.

Look at his numbers... his two highest scoring games this season came against uptempo teams... he flourishes in an upbeat game and just can't get it done when he's expected to be a back to the basket, half-court big man. So... you move him to a team where he doesn't have to be.

Indiana is running more of an uptempo style with Jim O'Brien as head coach (meaning three balls galore) as opposed to Carlisle. At 102 ppg, i'm preety sure they are top 10 in scoring.

And Danny Granger is a nice player. Gonna be a borderline all-star in the league.

PPG does not translate into uptempo basketball, necessarily. Indiana tends to not use much of the shot clock. I wouldn't consider them a fastbreaking team. They're quick, though.

If you watch a game with O'Neal, pay attention to how they distribute the ball to him. Most of their plays are designed to get him the ball with his back to the basket, then he turns and takes a jumpshot. Give him an offense where he can succeed in doing this and watch the difference.

Doesn't matter as he probably won't get moved anyway.

Indiana is top 3 in the league in terms of pace. Lower than Denver and GS and higher than PHX.

He didn't say that the newspaper did, but he said otherwise in his chat today.

If they stand pat they might as well trade McGrady this summer because the West is too strong and they won't get anything of value any other way.

They let JVG stay too long.

The big rumor involving the Cavs is the following:

Ira Newble, Shannon Brown, Donyell Marshall, Cedric Simmons, and Dwayne Jones for Mike Miller, Kyle Lowry, and Brian Cardinal.

I wouldn't do this trade. They'd be giving up all of their backup big men and taking on Cardinal's huge (huge for a crappy player like him) contract that has 2 years and $13 million left on it. I don't see how they could make this move with Varejao hurt unless they were planning to sign PJ Brown or Dale Davis or making another trade.

As much as it hurts me to say it, I think I'd rather stand pat and wait for the offseason/next season when they've got $30 million in expiring contracts. I don't think Miller's worth giving up that flexibility.

Robert Sarver was on Arizona radio saying a deal is close to being done. Didn't say for who except that it's for a "defensive minded, wing player". Said it could be done tonight but wouldn't be announced until tomorrow.

Paul Coro has an article up on Arizona Republic, throwing around names like Quentin Ross, Gelabele, Diawara. We could also be in the mix to grab Ron Artest.

I would LOVE Quentin Ross on the Suns.

That would be a horrible deal.
