Re: The Lakers finally put Lamar Odom on the trading block

How does a Sam Smith and Peter Vescey rumor mention always get 5 or 6 pages?

You all know good and well this is false and no GM in his right mind would trade an all star for an injury prone inconsistent player.

In their system, I know that Jordan can make use of Lamar's skills in handling the ball, running the floor, rebounding and passing.

I guess by being a New York fan I have really got to see first hand how much fans of certain teams take players for granted.

Considering Odom was the one who kills the Suns each and every time we play them, I would love to see him go elsewhere.

Maybe EA Sports is behind this so they can bring back the old Lakers vs Celtics series.

The Lakers do NOT NEED MORE SCORING. Lamars PASSING, REBOUNDING, and LENGTH are invaluable to this team.

Butler is a great player, but we don't need what he brings. Lamar playing the 3, dishing off, taking his opportunities, and being a monster on the boards is what we need. Having a huge, quick front line is going to be huge in the playoffs. Lamar is an amazing player and just because he doesn't score consistently doesn't mean he's not consistent. There's a ton more to the game of basketball than scoring and Lamar brings all of it.

              Horrible horrible trade idea. HORRIBLE.
Co-sign. Caron is obviously a better player, but as a cog, Lamar just fits alot better, probably moreso once Bynum gets back.

Caron and Kobe on the wings though...yikes.

Re: The Lakers finally put Lamar Odom on the trading block

Lamar fits the triangle offensee too well. Phil Jackson would want to keep a guy like Odom, who can pass, dribble, is smart, and has size. In addition, he is a talented offensive player, but doesn't like to take much shots. This will allow guys like Bynum, Gasol, and Kobe taking most of the shots, allowing Odom to be that fourth option.

Caron Butler is the best player on the Wizards....I don't see how you give up and allstar and get back Lamar Odom.

if this rumor, that ive seen reported quite a few places, is legit (which i doubt it is legit)...LA should be suspicious that Butler's injury is more severe than the Wizards are letting on. No way Washington would trade Butler for Odom straight up.
