GS, Utah, and Dallas are all great. Denvers crowd sucks balls, and NO can't get fans in there, hopefully they get crazy come playoff time though (if they were still on OK this year it would be awesome). San Antonio, their fans don't even care that much anymore, they just expect a title and don't get rowdy or anything. Can't speak on behalf of the Rockets because I'm usually sleeping around the 2nd quarter and the Lakers crowds are two-faced. Sometimes they're good, sometimes they're not.

The fans don't have to be deafening for a team to have a huge home-court advantage.

But when I think of HCA, I think of the fans most. Otherwise we can bust out the old stat sheet and compare home/away stats, pick a winner, and close this thread..

And people talk about Denver and the atmosphere, but almost every player says after you get your second wind, it doesn't even matter.

          GS and Utah stand out.

Two great scenes last season in the playoffs with the crowds of both team sporting their respective teams colors.

                Spurs, obviously, and the Warriors/Jazz.

The Lakeshow. I think the fans can sense they are on the verge of another title. They also have Kobe. It was tough to pick against the Warriors though cause their crowd is awesome.

Re: Out of the Top 9 Teams in the West...

Golden State has the most lively crowd I have seen in a while. They have so much energy throughout the entire game. I remember Charles Barkley saying something about how the Warriors feed off the crowds energy, and you can really see this during the course of the game. They really pump the team up.

The last team I remember having such a lively crowd was back in Arco Arena, back when the Kings were competing with the Lakers for the title. Damn, did they ever get into the game, and they were so damn loud. Especially with those damn cow bells...lol

But, yeah...I think the Warriors being at home is most "helpful."
