Can you edit players ratings in ID 2003? If so, how? Also, I noticed that I can't change the rosters lineups on other teams in my season mode? Do I have to change roster lineups before the season? I thought I could change other teams starting lineup during the season?

I think you can change player rosters, if you control all 29 nba TEAMS!!
It's a franchise and isn't meant to be able to change around other teams rosters.
They are GM's for their teams and do as they please, while you do like wise.

You can before entering a season. Not during. I just edited the Boston Celtics players, upping the drive defense for the PG, SG, and SF positions while upping the post defense for the C and PF positions. I always wanted to try this out, I just decided to do it right now, and I think it's actually much more challenging this way to drive to the basket. Now I get a much better balance between the Live "sticky defense" and how players actually drive in the NBA. Now when I take the ball to the basket, there's less of a chance of scoring, and (possibly) a better chance of getting fouled. I don't know if this works a 100% but I do think that upping the post defense reduces the chance for a center like Haywood to simply put his back to his defender and spin around him for the easy dunk. The post defender seems to be much quicker at stopping that.Comment
