I wouldn't say that yet. Felton has been solid, May has been injury plagues, and Marvin and McCants have been improving as of late.

Hard to say although it is starting to slant that way.

We didn't know it at the time, but Deron Williams was the best player on the floor the night of the championship game. Too bad he wasn't in NBA shape, although it might not have mattered.

It's still too early, IMO, as most of them are still improving. Felton is the only one who's made a smooth transition relatively quickly.

He is a good pro and I think he'll be a just a notch below an All-Star level point guard for years to come, perhaps sneak in a few AS appearances along the way.

I think Sean May will be fine long term as long as he can stay healthy and will live up to his pro potential (which was never too high to begin with). I wouldn't be surprised if he was a 15 and 8 guy during his prime.

Williams has improved each year, I thought he was a bit overrated coming out of UNC, you'd like his FG% to be higher for a guy his size but he'll be decent as well.

McCants is improving but you can never fairly judge someone when they're in a crappy situation like Minnesota is.

Overall I honestly wasn't sure that any of the four had All-Star potential coming out of UNC. But anyway, no, I definitely wouldn't consider the class a bust.

          X2!!!

          My take on it is

McCants was just a natural shooter on UNC like he is now shooting 45% fg and 40% three pointers he has gotten better off the dribble from games i watched

Felton was never a scorer or could never shoot well he could drive, dish, and play defense well

May was fundamental but the injury bug has him right now

Williams as you said was overrated but he's gettin better I could see him being a 18 and 8 guy

I guess it depends on how you define "bust." I see a bust as a player like Kwame Brown. Felton is one of the better point guards in the league, McCants is averaging 15 per game, and Williams is averaging 15/6 this year. That's solid starter production. May hasn't done very much, but haaving three good starters isn't really a bust.

Maybe watched a few B-Cats games, but I remember in Felton's last season in Chapel Hill he improved his jumper tremendously.

McCants is a stud, Minnesota has been televised once this whole season so it's hard to tell.

He is actually 25th in the league for points per 48 minutes.

Ironic that the guy struggling the most out of the 4 is May, when everyone was screaming that he'd played himself into the top 5 and was the no doubter in terms of pro potential on that team after the 05 Final Four.

                    Who actually said that?

6'9 unathletic 250 pound power forward with limited face up game is bound to be a mid 1st rounder.

                    Tyler Hansborough?

His midrange jumper was better than all of theirs coming out of UNC except maybe McCants.

Yeah, everything I was hearing was leaning towards Sean May being an overweight role player who would come off the bench his whole career. Out of their big four, I think he was considered the one with the least amount of pro potential, even though he may have been the most NBA-ready at the time.

actually here in Carolina (obviously) AND on TV they were saying this guy was going to do big things....he was overweight for COLLEGE...not the NBA...alot of the time weight is what these college guys are acting..

look i was the biggest May doubter, but the guy can play when hes on the court

It's not May's fault he's injured thats nothing no man can get past.He was being productive up until he was injured.

The other 3 I could see being 8-12 year players and maybe even make a few all star appereances

You must not have seen many Bobcats games... When healthy, Sean was very effective with the 18 foot jimmy. He was routinely putting up 16-18 ppg with 8-9 rebounds, and that was in limited minutes. Sadly, I don't think he's gonna get past these injuries... Marvin, I think people were just looking at potential. No way he was gonna come into the league and start putting in work. He's just now starting to scratch the surface of what he can become.
