Nelson "We Were Better With JR"

Admit it Warrior fans. As good as Buikes has been, he's no JR.

I agree with that sentiment. I think J Rich messed very well with the rest of their scorers.

Which brings up a question: Why doesn't Nelson play Wright?

Because he isn't ready I'm guessing? Could be wrong.. I'm sure if he was at all capable of contributing they'd throw him in there.. I mean they signed Chris Webber.

For the head coach to come out and say this after a tough loss.. without even being asked directly about JR.. that says a lot.

          Warriors need Redick...

Just a rough year for the Warriors. Their best record in ages and they're going to fall short of the playoffs. Just tough luck.

I think most Warrior fans know that the team was better with JRich. The trade was done for salary cap purposes and hoping Wright turns into a stud PF. Never liked the trade to begin with, but from starting the season 0-6 with Sjax being suspended...to have 47 wins and still at a chance to win 50 games. I'd say this team has overachieved with no bench production and, Baron, SJax, and Monta pushing 40 minutes a night. Will be the best team record wise to not make the playoffs in NBA history. The west is brutal. If Nelson is back next year there will be changes, and IMO they will look to get the impact big man they need to contend for a title.

I don't need Nelson. I said it the day they traded him away. Huge mistake.

Meshed? Yeah, he never should have gotten traded. Definitely a financial move.

It was a stupid move. If you are an up & coming team & you let your main scorer go for a rookie, you should @ least play the rook to get some return on your investment. I hate to see the guy wasted. When I think of how Carolina would have been unbeatable if Wright was manning the 4 this year......

He wasn't their main scorer. Their main scorer was Baron. The offense ran through Baron and the reason they were playing so well last year vs the Mavs was Baron.

Brandon Wright has alot of talent but he's 6'9 205. Yes 205. You can't expect big things from a PF out West when he is 205. It doesn't matter how long your wingspan is you will get pushed around. He's been in double-digit minutes a good amount lately and he is playing better. He will be fine for the Warriors. They don't need J-Rich's scoring which is pretty much all he does. Monta has that covered. Monta is 20 &5 as an undersized 2. That's pretty damn good. He also shoots over 50% from the floor which is a great indicator about the easy buckets he can get you.

I thought it was a horrible trade at the time by Charlotte. Especially with May & Okafor being walking injuries

"One of" their main scorers then if I have to be specific. And I know Brandon's build. I watched him in Chapel Hill last season.

I don't care if he's being pushed around. They knew he was a beanpole when they traded for him. They should still play him & let him learn.
