Your best Inside Drive 2003 moments

I have criticised as much as anyone the flaws in ID2003. The offensive rebounding and the fouls being the main one's.

However, that doesn't mean this game is not a simulation of the NBA. It is. It just happens to be a sim with a few flaws.

Real player traits, real team styles etc are what a simulation is all about. The player tendencies feature is as close as we have ever...and I mean EVER...come to a sim.

So, in light of the few criticism's of the game, I thought a thread highlighting your best moments would be appropriate. One where you post something that made you just stop and say "#### this game is amazing". Personally, I have had too many to list them all here...so I'll start with the one that really blew me away.

Playing as the T-Wolves against the Celtic's. Antoine Walker tried to post up, and I had Garnett guarding him close.
Tony Battie came across the lane and set a pick just behind Walker. Antoine Walker then ran to the corner baseline. I tried to follow him with KG, but Battie's pick blocked me. The Celtic's PG cut and passed it out to Walker...who hit a three from the corner.

I watched this back at least half a dozen times. That is exactly a play that the C's use...and I was blown away by how cool it was that, whoever programmed this thing, could know and get it 100% RIGHT. I have played every bball game released basically and none have ever been able to capture a moment like that, where a UNIQUE player...a PF who shoot's three's...could do this properly and have the right moves in the game.

Every other game I have played has the same AI for every team and position basically. I never thought a game could be created where real tendencies and real styles are actually in the game. Somehow they have done it. For me, it's best feature ever put into an NBA game. Play New York, Utah etc a 100 times in this game and you'll never see their PF cut to the baseline and shoot a three. Play the Celtic's and you can. F-ing unreal.

Everyone else's best moments would be cool. Especially as the team and player tendencies mean that we all don't get to see everything on offer. (ie I've read posts where guys have seen Carter specific moves or Shaq specific, but I've never used Toronto or LA so I only see them occasionally as an opponent)

I had some amazing games vs the Pistons in the playoffs. In every game of the series they started relatively slowly but really came home stong on the back of some great (Ben Wallace led) defense and rebounding. When they were struggling the bench would come in (Williamson, Barry, Rebraca etc) and they would help them claw their way back into the match. I love this game

Going into the 4th quarter Tim Duncan had 23 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists.

To make this almost historic night , story, short, The game went into OT and I had a 7 pt. lead with 2 minutes to go in OT and with Timmy D so close to a Triple Double, I sacrificed a win and went for a triple double.

Tim fell short and lost the game for his team as well.

        27 pts. 20 rebounds, 9 assists.

I was just trying to inflat his stats a bit, and lost the game for my team.

        A disturbing yet memorable moment.

            Bulls VS Nets.

In a high tempo intense consuming competetive game I'm the Bulls at home. My CAP is going off having a monster game on the Nets up until the 4th qtr, he fouls out,and the Nets catch up before I know it. I play hard D but MT Mutombo gets hot, and Kidd, and Kittles. They tie the game with 24 sec left. I call a timeout, and set up an Iso for MJ, the Nets put Mutombo on him at the top of the key. I try to burn him but Mutombo is already hot, so I miss the shot, and OT comes.

It's all Nets in OT. The closest I get is within 1, and I can't seem to stop NJ.

I'm down by three after fouling Kidd and him hitting 2 FT's . I call timeout again with my CAP fouled out, 4.3 on the clock, and down by three. I get the ball to MJ with another iso, and he gets open at the top of the key, and I somehow shoot a leaning jumper instead of a three, and miss, don't get the rebound, and my first lost is handed to me after 28 straight wins.

I was mad for a sec, but I laughed because I saw the AI play some good ball, good passing, and great shots. I love this game.

Sorry but I have to say this. The best moments were the last minutes before the flaws and, thus, frustration took over. Fun took a divorce of me and doesn't seem to even want to talk with me anymore.

If I could just make myself not to care of stats and total realism, I'd play this game non-stop. As I did in the beginning before those last minutes of the marriage between me and ID fun.

Getting a quadruple double half way into my season with Yao Ming!! Unbelievable... I was going against the LA lakers for the first time and I was thinking, damn Shaq is going to eat Yao alive.... well, in a way I guess he did, but that didn't stop Yao from getting player of the game honors for the match! Shaq finished with 46 points and a double double. Yao Ming finished with 12 points, 26 rebounds, 11 assists and 11 blocks (most of them on Shaq!!!!). As you can see Yao did have a hard time scoring on Shaq but he was able to make up for it in other areas and lead his team to a win!
