Re: Did MJ ever shatter a backboard?
I was just telling some people yesterday about how YouTube has allowed us to see plays that Mike made in his rookie year that before now we could only read about and imagine how great it was.
Now this totally unknown masterpiece gets revealed. I bow down to the greatness of YouTube.Concrete evidence/videos pleaseComment

Re: Did MJ ever shatter a backboard?
I think he shattered the backboard because it was a European basket. At that time the baskets in Europe were weaker then in the US, and almost any hard dunk could cause this. Still amazing! Just when u thougt u knew everything MJ had done, u discover something newMy Specs:
ZX Spectrum
CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB
OS: Sinclair BASICComment

Re: Did MJ ever shatter a backboard?
Dayum!
So happy i finally opened this thread.
Like most of you I have never seen that dunk before.
Nike should pay homage to Air Mike by making a commercial around this youtube clip. Just like have a bunch of current NBA stars like D-HO, CP3, Bron Bron, etc. all sitting around in a group and watching this vid of Mike for the first time (doubt they have seen it either) and capturing their collective reactions of tripping out. Then show Mike in his usual business attire and eating a doughnut while he does his infamous "shrug look" from the Portland playoff series where he hit like 8 3 pointers.Comment
