Don't be mad at me because he wants to jump on the weak team trying to prolong the inevitable. Playing la and handing them the mental edge. At least let em earn it but don't give up before it even starts
Now you're being ridiculous AND putting words in my mouth.

He's a baller. He has a sweet high arc j and he hits some ridiculous clumsy and amazing looking shots on a whim but he just has times where he seems or acts like he's scared to do anything else

That said I could care less who's getting personal and chunking insults at the poster instead of the post itself.you are the ones who take threads in the wrong direction.you can't disagree or just post ur thoughts without swinging the e stick like someone slapped ur mama upside the head.

Yeah I said he's acting scared so what. Disagree and move on but don't start calling people idiots and so on.

I'm laughing at the people here like that because its fun to see u riled up over a comment about another man u don't even know

You say were riled up over comments on a dude that we don't even know but yet YOU don't even know the man,but off his comments alone, you can tell he's "scared" to play LA.

Damn, you should be a comedian because so far, everything you've said in this topic has made me laugh regardless of whether it made sense or not

Once again, putting words into my mouth, I never said that you were an idiot, I said you were being ridiculous. All Dirk did was say what everyone else on his team was thinking and what everyone watching basketball knew they were thinking. No one wants to play the number 1 seed in the first round, no matter what AI says.

All I have to say is you don't hear anyone saying this sort of thing. Obviously Dirk is right, they know they match up better with the Hornets, BUT, you don't come out and say that ish. Now am I questioning his toughness or his heart? NO. It's silly to continue to nitpick every little thing about this guy, but if I was a Mavs fan I would not be happy.

ec, good post. I wouldnt be happy either but getting angry at him being called out on this is what is silly.

That said Dirk is scared of Kobe, so what.

                  Tyson Chandler's blog:

"It's comical to me that they wanted to play us. First of all, it's comical to me that you're scared of a team, and say that you don't want to play them.

But it reminds me of when I was little. I begged for the My Buddy doll, begged for the My Buddy doll. I kept asking, "Ma, get me the My Buddy. Ma, get me the My Buddy." But my mom couldn't really afford it, so she couldn't get it for me at that time.

So, I kept at it. "Ma, get me a My Buddy. Every other kid got a My Buddy. Mom, I never get anything!" Just making my mom feel bad.

So, my uncle told my mom, "I'll fix this." I didn't know my uncle told my mom that, but he came over with this video and pops it in the machine. I'm like, "Ah, My Buddy!" And it turns out it was the Chucky movie.

All the next week, I'm telling my mom, "Please, don't get me My Buddy. Please, don't get me My Buddy."

So sometimes, what you think you really want, you don't really want. The Mavericks think they want us, and they asked for us, and we ain't gonna be My Buddy. They're gonna get Chucky."

Good for Tyson Chandler. Sticking up for his team. That doesn't change the fact that the Lakers are a better team than the Hornets and the Mavs match up 100 times better against the Hornets than the Lakers.

Dude the Mavs matchup with LA man. They just crumble in the end. Like I said, the loses only combined for a total of 10 points, the Mavs are more than good enough to make up for that.

Yeah, they do, but they match up BETTER against the Hornets, which would mean that the Mavs would rather play the Hornets than the Lakers, which lead to the "I don't think we wanted to start in L.A" comment. Good Lord you read way too much into this.

No, Dirk is a chicken is all it is. To go into the media to say it just makes him seem it the more. That's my opinion and Tyson's and probably the entire Hornets and Lakers teams.

I love how you all don't comment on the topic.

Point blank; as a FAN, COACH, OWNER, TEAMMATE; I NEVER want to hear my STAR PLAYER making SUCH a comment.

I do not see how ANYONE can disagree with THAT ^ statement.

Whether he IS scared or soft or WHATEVER; he should NOT be making statements like that as a LEADER of a team. It shows a LACK of confidence and belief in his team.
