Coach Karl, Iverson and Melo all "wanted to play the Hornets in the first round".

Coach Karl has come out and said that his team didn't want LA in the first round.

I wonder if this will turn into a 400 post thread about how they're all soft / not leaders?

George Karl admitted on Sunday that Denver was hoping to play the Hornets and not the top-seeded Lakers in the first round, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

"I'm not going to deny we were rooting to play New Orleans," he said. "We wanted to play the more inexperienced team."

If any team is smart they would want to play new orleans rather than LA.

I predict that KDRE fails to make a post in this thread.

Iverson said. “People say he’s the best basketball player on the planet, so I’m definitely looking forward to the challenge. Especially with me believing that about myself, so let’s go. This is what it’s about.

“I’d be lying if I said it’s the same thing if I was playing New Orleans or if we were playing L.A.,” Iverson said. “Everybody know how big that stage is. I relish the moment. This is what I play basketball for. This is why I love it so much.”

Are you kidding me? George Karl comes out and says that his team didn't want to play the Lakers, and you DEFEND them?

            You're ridiculous.

What's wrong with a little double standard, anyway? Interesting how Karl said "We", kind of grouping the whole team into his statement without being able to read the whole article. I personally doubt that Iverson cares who he plays. He's fearless.

Anybody want to compare and contrast this thread to the "Dirk is soft" thread before it becomes a flamefest and gets closed?

John 4:23. He is seeking a seeker.
John 3:20. Say no to normal.

Don't think a explanation is needed, locked.
