I think The athletes are better now but I enjoyed sports back in the 80's more maybe because nostalgia I was a kid, I loved the Pistons with the Bad boys My absolute hate for Celtics Bird, Parrish, Mchale, almost the same for the Lakers My love for Larry Holmes, Dan Petry, Chet Lemon, Alan Trammel, Kirk Gibson and the Tigers. The Red Wings not able to beat the Oilers in the Playoffs to save their lives. The CBS presentation of Nba Finals just seemed better. Tonights game just seams like a sunday night NBA game.

People generally like things MORE when they are kids. Video games, TV, Sports. That is usually the case.
