What Yall Think Bout The Pacers
they get the13th pick Brandon Rush, Jarrett Jack, and Josh McRoberts from Portland for 11th pick Jerryd Bayless and Ike Diogu. They get the 17th overall pick Roy Hibbert, T.J. Ford, and Rasho from Toronto for Jermaine O'Neal. I was kinda fond of having Jerryd Bayless, but I like Brandon Rush too. I think it was time for O'neal to see a change annd us too.Nba: Indiana Pacers/ Dallas Mavericks

Re: What Yall Think Bout The Pacers
I like them more after the moves they made.
They won't have much trouble scoring points. -
Re: What Yall Think Bout The Pacers
I dont know I they might have a problem scoring. Because They dont have anyone down low to go to when they need a big basket. But i think the quality will be better than they trash they had the last couple of years.Nba: Indiana Pacers/ Dallas Mavericks

Re: What Yall Think Bout The Pacers
About the Pacers, I knew it had to be a method to their madness once acquired T.J. Ford in a trade then turn around and drafted Bayliss. But then they trade Bayliss and acquired Brandon so now they have paired the Rush brothers together. Smart move. Also with Jack on the team, Jamaal Tinsley's days are certainly numbered now.
The Pacers certainly have an abundance of perimeter talent. Guys who can shoot, guys who can penetrate and dish, drive-and-kick, etc. Scoring shouldn't be much of a problem for this team as I think they're looking to expand on that up-tempo oriented offense that they were running last year with mixed results. Now they have the type of lineup that would make them more successful running up and down the court the way they were doing for most of last season. And if they're forced to slow down and run halfcourt offense, possibly McRoberts can get the team a few low post buckets as well.
However, this team may have issues defensively. I have to say that Nesterovic and McRoberts makes the Pacers have as unathletic as a frontline can be, and I'm not so sure either player will be much of a defensive presence inside. As a result, I can foresee opposing team looking to pound the basketball inside against the Pacers and be successful getting their big men in foul trouble. Danny Granger can defend on the outside, but he'll get worn down if he's forced to frequently bang against bigger bodies in the paint.
From the outside looking in, I would say that the Pacers are probably banking on outscoring teams 110-105 on a regular basis next season.

Kareem Rush won't be back on the team as he hasn't even been offered a contract yet and there's no place for him now...
And I'm hearing nothing but bad things about Mcroberts and people are saying he's a jerk and he's lazy....Apparently he's been getting abused in the D-league by players who weren't even drafted.....He was purely a throwin to make the deal work....Comment

Re: What Yall Think Bout The Pacers
Well, my favorite team hsa always been Toronto having been born there, and when i moved to Chicago 5 years ago, i didnt like the Bulls so i rooted for the PAcers, who ae my 2nd favorite team. I like te O'Neal for Ford trade for both teams. Toronto gets a big man that it really neds (Bosh too lanky to be center) and Indiana gets young guys to start rebuilding around Danny Granger.
I also like their trade for Rush kinda. When they picked Bayless i was happ as hell, but he didnt look very excited. Then i heard he got traded for Brandon Rush, and i was like "Hmmm, Kareem's bro" and now they are on the same team, and Jack is a good enough PG that he can hold his own. We still got Tinsely. I think both the Pacers and Raptors will do better next season.Comment

Re: What Yall Think Bout The Pacers
Thats basically what they did last year.....They had no defense on the perimeter or the interior other than Granger...At least now they've added 3 more good perimeter defenders in Ford, Rush and Jack.....And they have an interior presence with Hibbard.....So for now, at least 3/5 of their starting lineup will have good defenders.....
Kareem Rush won't be back on the team as he hasn't even been offered a contract yet and there's no place for him now...

Yeah, perimeter defense should be improved with T.J. Ford, Jarrett Jack and Brandon Rush.
So the Pacers are basically doing a older Rush for younger Rush swap in letting Kareem go, eh? Interesting.
Hibbert will likely be a solid post defender, rebounder, and decent lane-clogger/shotblocker. But I think he's going to be exposed in isolations and pick-and-roll situations as he doesn't have good lateral quickness to guard against drives to the basket. I can see teams using smaller, undersized big men to try and take him off the dribble. Nesterovic, Harrison, or whoever paired with him on the baseline will have to cover his back.
