How many players in the history of the NBA have had a negative value like Randolph has right now?As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!" -
Re: Knicks Management Blows It Again - Reject deal for Randolph to Clippers
I meant their players. They aren't tradable for any sort of value and I don't think Randolph's contract really hurts the Knicks in the future."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

The following players will have player options in 2009:
Eddy Curry $10M
Quentin Richardson $9M
Jamal Crawford $9M
Jerome James $7M
And in 2010, guess what, more player options:
Eddy Curry (again) $11M
Jared Jeffries $7M
Only Richardson and James will come off the books in 2010. All the while, Zach Randolph has a guaranteed $17M in 2010.Comment

^^See this is the big misconception Knicks fans are being sucked into believing.

Re: Knicks Management Blows It Again - Reject deal for Randolph to Clippers
I know those guys don't come off the books anytime soon. That's why I said future. Come on, I choose my words very carefully.
But, Randolph's lone contract isn't gonna hurt the team. And I personally think that if Randolph was there along with LeBron then that would be a better team.
Anyway, the hugest misconception in NY is believing that LeBron is coming to the Knicks. That isn't going to happen. You can save my post and laminate it too."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. I think DiAntoni is going to make this team competitive, just a hunch. They definately have talent on the offensive end.
Lee
Jeffries
Richardson
Crawford
Robinson
That's a lineup Knicks fans should get used to this next fall.Comment
