i thought Iverson was a SG, not a point, you guys you should talk about Ray Allen not Bibby. And if Bibby wasn't hurt he would have been in the All Star game. If Payton hadn't won two medals, he would be in instead of bibby, and if Nash was american, he would also. Marbury and Franscis are scorers and more like Shooting guards than point guards. But come on now, they don't need scorers when they have Mcgrady, Duncan, and maybe Kobe on the team. Don't think i don't want iverson on the team, i want him on the team no doubt, but he should take a spot of a shooting guard not a point guard.

<font color="red"> Iverson is a floor general, if you watch the games he is always on his team. That's why he is now team captin and the role model for the younger player's on his team. And saying AI isn't a floor general is a joke. He's played pg all his life, he can run the floor. Have you forgotten, he just switch to a sg 4 years ago. A.I. is more than willing to carry a team when their in trouble too, remember this year's all-star game???

Just chill out man, i never said Iverson is not a floor general, i was refering Bibby compared to other point guards in the NBA, not Iverson. I support Iverson, i want him on the team. Yes i know he played point guard all his life, but he didn't win the nba mvp as a point guard, he won it as a shooting guard. So IMO i think he's better at the 2-Guard position than the point. I'm not a moron to say he's not a floor general, he carries that team on his back.
You know maybe Iverson wasn't asked b4 bibby because of an image thing, and i don't blame the commity to be a little cautious about Iverson. I think he's one of the best players in the game today. NBA is trying to spread its popularity to the world and what better stage to do so on the biggest sporting event in the world. If we come off as jerks how Vince Carter acted during the 2000 olympics, how is the world going to be attracted to watching the NBA. Don't think i think of Iverson is that way at all, i think he's a class act, but in this world we are judged by our credibility and his is not as clean as the committee wants it to be. Why is it such a surprise that they question his credibility. As a fan, you know his history. Yeah this year, he's trying to get some credit back, i see him very dedicated and a great leader of his team, but it takes awhile b4 you get all that credit back and to to establish "good credit." How long did it take for Latrell Sprewell to get in good with the crowd after the chocking incident. A long time, a couple seasons in fact.
I believe Iverson should be on the team, but people are trippin about Bibby who i believe is a good choice. So what if he was asked b4 iverson, is that really a big insult? As long as you are on the team, its an honor.
But think of the whole situation if you weren't an Iverson fan, and its your job to put together a team that'll work and at the sametime carry the good image the NBA and Olympics want.
We can't jus pick anyone out of the NBA now and expect them to win, the world is catching up, so these choices have to be well thought out.
