Monta Ellis Out 3-4 Months With Sprained Ankle

The Web site reported that Ellis suffered a high ankle sprain in his hometown of Jackson, Miss. It's believed that Ellis injured his ankle while working out.
The mercurial guard signed a six-year, $66 million contract last month
It says 3 months here, but I seen on ESPN it said 3-4 months.

But damn, never knew a sprained ankle could keep you out THAT long though.

Wow, that's a hell of a sprain... Too bad for the Warriors -- they are going to be fun to watch again this year, but it's all predicated on Monta. Hoepfully he gets back sooner than later -- love watching dude play.

Must have landed on it after jumping or trying a layup or something.

Either way, yes I totally believe this and Ellis will look like a different player this season. Sprained Ankles are something that can screw up an entire season.

And the season ends 2 months before the season starts.. The one guy that the Warriors couldn't afford to lose, has been lost. I hope they aren't going to do something stupid now and trade for the likes of Hinrich or Marbury.

I've never heard of an ankle sprain requiring surgery. Tough for him and the W's, although it doesn't matter anyway since they aren't making the playoffs.

                    of course it matters.

when your best and one of your youngest players whose out to learn a new position goes down with surgery and is out for 4 months before the season ... it matters a whole lot.

this isnt about the playoffs this year its abouit developing the talent. thats done in trainging camp.

word is he was actually on a motorcycle.. and it wasnt during a game....

if thats true i will be extra pissed.

Sprains are sometimes worse then breaking it especially if ligaments are tore

im not deliusional..any idiot could see our teams too young and in too tough a conference to make the playoffs

but this injury affects us getting in to the playoffs next year and possibly the year after as well.

if he really was doing somethign idiotic then.... well... i cant really say ****... now can i?
