Happy trails Shareef
One of the classiest guys in the league bids farewell. It's too bad his knees broke down because he was one incredibly reliable player for years. Too bad he had his peak years wasted on some terrible teams. The NBA needs more players like him.

Class act and one of the leagues gems for a few years.
Bad rap playing on so many bad teams but one of my favorite players. Had a sick post game before his legs gave out on him.Comment

Re: Happy trails Shareef
It's been rumored for a while now that he was gonna retire, but too bad that it actually has happened. I remember how much I loved watching him play back when he was with the Hawks. I'm sure he'll be still be in the league for years to come though (of course just in some other capacity than a player)Just my tuppence worth...Comment

Re: Happy trails Shareef
I saw a triple overtime game on NBA TV a few days ago from 1999; Grizzlies vs. Celtics, and he was a hell of a player back then. I was surprised his name wasn't mentioned as much. He was just straight up hustle.Comment

Re: Happy trails Shareef
Ah he was one of my favorite players coming out of college. Despite the knee problems he had a pretty decent career. Wish him the best of luck.PS: You guys are great.

This guy was class all the way. It's a shame that his body betrayed him at such a relatively young age. He should've been the main draw for the Grizz' PR back in the day instead of Bryant Reeves.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
