They completely dropped the ball on the story of the Blazers and how a franchise can turn a toilet team into a contendor with everything going for itself the RIGHT WAY.

I heard Mychal Thompson on the radio last week say Stern called all of the radio guys up telling them to try to sell tickets for the league... forget the fact that he's allowed teams to jack up prices that pushed families into the nosebleeds and out to the bar having to watch it on the tv screen outside of the arena.

Fitting problem for a man out of touch with the fanbase.
The Blazers havent won **** yet so thats why they arent marketing them. Also they Portland has never been a ratings driver even going back to the Drexler days. Ratings matter more than gate receipts to Stern.

Neither have the Knicks, but let's keep talking about them

Remember the last labor dispute w/MLB? The owners claimed basically only the Yanks were making money. Even went to Congress & showed them numbers to "prove" their case. The player's union said those weren't the correct books. There were other accounting reports the league had to share w/the MLBPA that showed all but like 5 teams (I actually think its fewer) were making profits. They offered to show them to Congress & the owners cited a confidentiality agreement & threatened to sue if they made them available to Capitol Hill.

Don't believe these big buisness people when they claim anything. They'll tell stockholders & potential investors they are making $20B then turn around @ tell the IRS & media they lost that amount.

Come on man. That would be financilly stupid if the NB didnt show games featuring the team in the largest media market. Plus I dont remember the Knicks being on many national games last year.
