Who do you guys like coming out of the East?
I know whoever wins the East is a moot point but I think my Hornets have a decent shot. If Mashburn doesnt come up with some surprise illness like last year and BD holds up then they have a pretty good chance of going deep into the playoffs. I like their chances b/c they have a decent group of big men. Magloire and Brown are very solid rebounding and defensively. They also have Tractor Traylor and Jerome Moiso giving them some quality minutes off the bench. I also like the fact that this year they have some depth at the gaurd position(Courtney Alexander and Kenny Anderson) so Wesley and Davis wont have to play almost every minute of every game like they had to last year and Anderson is a much better backup PG than Bryce Drew. I believe Paul Silas is an excellent coach and if they dont re-sign him it will be a huge mistake. They are only a game and a half down from Indy for the 4th spot and home court advantage, that would be huge now that the opening series is best of 7.Tags: None -

Not a clue...most likely I'm thinking Detroit but it could be any of the top 8...Comment

I would like to say Detroit, but I thought they would make it farther last year too, and that didn't work. Damn Stack. To me they have the best shot tho. Defense wins a lot of games, and Rip and Billups are good scorers. Other than them, it's still all up in the air.
If JKidd keeps the TO's down, and the rest of the Nets play how they did last year, especially KMart, then I think the Nets could repeat as the East's top dog.
If Artest can keep himself from getting suspended a game in the playoffs, or at least keep his emotions in check, then Indiana could do it, especially since they're gonna add Tim Hardaway soon to their backcourt.
If AI shots above 43% and the rest of the Sixers get some points, with KVH getting close to 20, then the Sixers can do it. They have great team defense. They've really been hustling lately.
The Hornets are deep, and have a good balance, with BDitty and Monster Mash leading the way. The only thing holding them back is Baron's back, and themselves. They just gotta play to their potential.
Who else is there? Orlando, I think they might make it out of the 1st round, but TMac doesn't have enough help. Boston, lives and dies by the 3, so I say they aren't gonna make it. The Bucks aren't big enough down low to handle the other teams in the east. And if Washington makes it, you can never discount MJ. He's is super clutch when the game is on the line.Comment

Re: Who do you guys like coming out of the East?
Zig those were assuming they get to the finals and play the Lakers and Shaq. I was talking about the team that would win the Eastern Conference finals. I think their interior defense is good against other eastern teams. Who does Philly have on the inside? Tyrone Hill? The east is pretty even this year.Comment
