I read on another board that online roster updates can't be used in franchise.Is this true?Can they be used in season mode?

I think what they mean is that you can't use the updated rosters in current franchise games. In other words if you have downloaded the roster update and want to use it in your franchise you will unfortunately have to start your franchise all over again from scratch.

yeah but when you use them and draft time rolls around, for NBA comparison it always says something like...
